We would like to introduce Heidi Hoffman!

She is an occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience specializing in neurorehabilitation as well as treating patients with orthopedic and complex medical conditions.

She has extensive expertise in working with individuals with neurological deficits and applying evidence-based interventions to maximize recovery and independence.

She now serves as Clinical Support Lead at Bioservo, where she is passionate about educating and inspiring therapists and patients on the latest advances in assistive technology to support individuals with limited hand function and help them achieve a higher quality of life.

The 2025 PVA Summit and Expo is only a couple of days away!

During the PVA Summit, Malin Regardt from the Karolinska University Hospital will give a poster presentation on a study involving people with reduced hand function.

The name of the poster presentation is “Increased independence in persons with impaired hand function by using power-enhancing glove assistive technology”

The results show that the glove would be beneficial and increase independence.

This is Cory Kudlacek from Nebraska. A few years ago, he had an accident that impaired the function of his hand.

Cory is a sixth-generation farmer and depends on being able to use both hands. Through a collaboration between Bioservo and , Cory was able to get his own Carbonhand.

It's all the little details in the design of the Carbonhand that make it useful for so many people with impaired hand function. One example is being able to activate the glove with an external button, a small detail that makes all the difference to some.
