At last finished with the stainless rifle, though it’s not my favourite type of steel, it makes a nice contrast to the wood.

Often we got questions about “ is it stainless” when we show pictures of guns that aren’t completely finished. This is the first stainless we have done anything more than standard work on. To complete the theme, we have added custom made pistol grip cap and toe-heel plates in stainless. Also scope mount bases milled on the action for maximum straightness.

Rifle stocks in three different states of making. **er

I’m a sucker for falling-blocks, especially the British ones. This one was a half finished project on a Field’s patent from 1877. A customer bought in England and I had to put in a whole lot of work into it to get it ready for stocking. making new screws, hammer and finish. Getting the timing right and making possibility for stock bolt.
Note the different levers on the two actions, the new action has the original form and the older has a custom made for perhaps someone with a physical disability.

Finished up a three piece forend for an old Browning B25 for delivery today. A whole lot of more work than making a traditional o/u forend.
