What does Galilean optics mean? 🔍

You’ve probably seen the term before. But what does it actually refer to?

Galilean optics is one of the two main optical systems used in magnification loupes (the other is Keplerian). It’s based on a combination of a convex lens and a concave lens, resulting in a compact, lightweight design with lower magnification.
