EPISODE 5 - FOOD HYPERFIXATION
Yes, it is a thing. It took me 21 weeks post comp until I felt it suddenly was not that intense anymore. During those 21 weeks, I was super careful with my fibre intake, and how I combined all my meals. Why? To reach the highest level of satiety I possibly could feel. Which was not very high 🙈 constant hunger regardless of how much food I ate. I could literally eat and eat and eat. Called binge eating, and probably something I would have done frequently if I did not track my calories every day and trusted the process of my body one day accepting my ”normal” calorie intake and come back to healthy hormones 🙂What helped me was green vegetables with most of my meals, tracking my calories daily, slowly adding fat mass on my body for it to feel safe again, and having my coach always there listening to me and adjusted things if needed.
I am all about trusting my body signals, but competing put your body in a situation where you and your body don’t speak the same language anymore. Until you do, 21 weeks later 👊
”Consistency and trust the process” is always the answer 🙂
