''A war with the virus - Coping with Covid-19''

This course is offered by the School of Health Sciences at Central Michigan University and Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, Department of Global Health. Together we have Master students from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and from other nationalities. Course coordination assistance is provided by Swedish HealthCare Academy. The course is designed for undergraduate, graduate, PHD students and work professional from all range.

A 6-week online course- Exploring the Swedish Healthcare System

This international health course offers opportunities to develop cross-cultural competencies for students with healthcare experience. They will explore questions such as: What makes Swedish healthcare system amongst the best? What needs to be improved? What are the challenges?

The students will learn key facts about Swedish healthcare, specifically, historical and social development, governance (healthcare law, monitoring and policy, county councils), financing, and service provision. In addition, the students will broaden their knowledge of European healthcare when exploring the following question: What is Swedish and what is European when it comes to healthcare system performance in Sweden?

This online course will bring together students from Rochester Institute of Technology with Swedish institutions and experts at various academic levels, which we hope will allow for personal growth and rich exchange of ideas.
