Now you might wonder, WHO hit me? Or What the hell did I do? Let me tell You! The answer is in the last photo in the slide >>>>>>>>>
When you use a body gua sha (or other scraping techniques, like traditional Gua Sha or Graston in physiotherapy), you’re working quite deeply into the skin and connective tissue. This is what happens when you scrape:
• Increased blood circulation
The pressure and movement stimulate microcirculation in the skin and superficial muscles. That’s why the skin gets red or warm.
• Tiny capillary breakages
Under the skin are very fine blood vessels (capillaries). Scraping can cause some of them to break, especially if they’re fragile or if the pressure is strong. This is what leads to small bruises or red spots (called sha in traditional Chinese medicine).
• Fascia stimulation
The scraping works on the fascia (connective tissue), helping to release tightness or adhesions. When this loosens, fluids and circulation move more freely.
• Lymphatic activation
The movements also stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps with detoxification and waste removal.
Get yours today! The bruising will get better with time. I have already told many of my clients how good they are and how to work with the lymphatic system and fascia. This is one of the tools I have at home for self care 🫶 Amazing tool and not expensive at all, and not hard to use at all!
