Food is the most powerful tool we have to take control of our health.
Choosing the wrong foods leads us down a road of chronic disease, while choosing the right ones prevents illness and can even cure it. Food is information that transforms our biology, activating our potential for healing or creating imbalance that causes disease.
People don’t eat ingredients; they eat food. And they often eat foods that contain dozens of different ingredients, many different types of fats, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and more.
The nutrition world is shifting away from focusing on individual nutrients and toward focusing on dietary patterns, whole foods, and complex assortment of foods... in other words, they way we actually eat.
We often don’t connect the dots between what’s on our plate and our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Food is not just calories; it’s medicine.
