Join the journey! Kasia Soraya Leffler – Wise Love

Kasia Soraya Leffler is an integrative therapist, legal thinker, and creative visionary whose work bridges psychology, embodiment, and language. Through her practice Wise Love – Kasia Soraya, she offers trauma-informed individual and group sessions weaving together Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing (SE), NARM, Family Constellations, and creative arts methods. Her approach is both grounded and soulful — inviting clients into honest dialogue with their inner systems, restoring coherence where fragmentation has ruled. Trained in law and psychotherapy, Kasia brings unusual clarity to complex human processes. She has worked as a lawyer, event organizer, and teacher — experiences that give her work a rare balance of precision and humanity. Her therapeutic practice is informed by deep curiosity about how consciousness, attachment, and the nervous system interact — and how love, when embodied and understood, becomes a form of intelligence. Kasia is the founding chair of IFS Sverige Förening and a central contributor to the creation of IFS Nordics, a federation uniting the Scandinavian IFS community in collaboration with the IFS Institute. She is also active in the cultural life of Ängsbacka Course & Festival Center, where she co-creates festivals and programs that bring together psychological depth and collective joy. Currently based in Sweden’s west coast archipelago, Kasia lives and works between worlds — between the intimate space of therapy and the collective work of culture-building. Her writing, teaching, and organizing all serve a single thread: cultivating presence, truth, and the strange grace that comes from being fully human.

Friends,

I have a few session spaces open right now.

I work with what is already present in you i.e. parts, patterns, and nervous system responses that have had good reasons to form. We go at the speed of safety and insight.

I offer IFS-, SE-, and NARM-informed work, and constellation work when the ground is stable enough.

If this resonates for you- if you feel a quiet yes, - or if you know someone who might benefit - feel free to pass this on.

“How do we go on living our ordinary, comfortable lives while knowing that terrible suffering is going on every single day for so many people around the world? Can we ever make peace with that suffering?”

It is a brilliant question.
I have struggled with it myself for years.

I do not think you “make peace” with cruelty and violence.
Not today. Maybe never.
And why should you.

Look. I cannot tell you how to grieve or how to fight. I cannot tell you what to do. But I can suggest the following.

Let the suffering of the innocent and the oppressed move you. Let it break your heart. Let it hurt. Deeply. The pain itself means your heart is still working! You are not numb. You are not detached, cold, or indifferent. You are not bypassing your humanity.

You hurt because your brothers and sisters are hurting. You belong to the same river of humanity.

At the same time, you must accept a limit to your hurting, if you can. Remember, you did not cause this horror. You cannot carry all of it without being crushed by it yourself, without being destroyed by the weight of the world’s suffering. You can only carry what is truly yours.

So you choose how and when to engage, as much as possible. When to read. When to watch. When to talk about world events. When to listen. You do this consciously, deliberately.

Grief and anger have to be held in presence, not poured endlessly into your nervous system all day long without limits. That is not compassion. It is a fast track to burnout and helplessness.

So you breathe first. You find your ground. You return to your real responsibility each day. How you speak. How you treat the people around you. How you love your child, your partner, your neighbour. How you refuse to pass unconsciousness onwards. How you refuse to fuel numbness, hatred, or violence in your family, your community, your workplace, your town or city.

You do your own inner work. You look honestly at the violence and prejudice in yourself. You attend to your own childhood wounds. You look at the log in your own eye before pointing at the splinter in your neighbour’s. Healing your own trauma is not a distraction from saving the world. I truly believe it is part of how the world is saved.

And yes, of course, you can still protest. But not as permanent outrage. Not as more hatred layered on top of hatred. You act where action is possible. You show up. You speak. You vote. You give generously. You withhold consent.

And you do not let protest make you cruel! If your protest costs you your capacity to love, the damage has already spread.

And you rest too. You rest when you can. Rest is not a luxury. It is fuel. It is the source of all things.

And you allow joy, without apology and without guilt! Joy is not a betrayal of the cause. Joy is how you stop the violence from taking your soul too.

You shine your light, even when it feels impossibly dark.

And remember, there is no clean or easy way to live with all this. Anyone who says there is is being glib, or trying to sell you comfort way too cheaply. Being deeply affected by the world does not resolve neatly. It does not offer easy closure.

You may never be at peace with all the suffering in the world, but maybe you can make peace with THAT.

Finally, I’d say that it really is fu***ng brave to choose to stay awake, tender, open-hearted and curious in a world that keeps asking you to shut down.

The fawn response, as it’s known in some precincts of social media, bundles various forms of ingratiating, people-pleasing behavior. It can manifest in threatening situations, where expressing authentic emotion could elicit a powerful person’s wrath or cruelty, or it might be more banal: laughing at a vindictive supervisor’s unfunny joke, saying you love a gift when you don’t, laboring over the perfect string of whimsical emojis to append to an opinion that you’ve expressed over text. Fawning wears various faces: perfectionism, promiscuity, self-deprecation, workaholism, overspending. Is it a behavior we need to unlearn? Katy Waldman considers two new books that encourage readers to unfawn: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/KqBYF1

"You cannot breathe your way out of patriarchy. You cannot cold plunge your way out of structural oppression. You cannot meditate, journal, or yoga your way out of conditions that were designed to dysregulate you.

This is not to say that nervous system regulation tools aren't valuable. They are. I use them. I teach them. I believe in the body's capacity to settle, to find ground, to return to itself.

But when regulation tools are offered as the solution to chronic activation without naming the cause of that activation, they become a form of gaslighting. They locate the problem in your body rather than in the conditions your body is responding to.

The message becomes: if you're still anxious, you haven't tried hard enough. If you're still activated, you haven't found the right technique. If you're still struggling, the failure is yours.

But what if your nervous system isn't broken? What if it's accurate?

What if your chronic activation is a correct response to living in a world where your body has never been fully safe? Where your rights can be legislated away? Where your value has been tied to your appearance, your compliance, your ability to serve? Where violence against women is endemic and normalized. Where the mental load is invisible and unpaid and never ending?

You're not dysregulated because you're doing something wrong. You're dysregulated because your body is reading the environment correctly.

This is the problem with nervous system work that doesn't include political analysis. It pathologizes accurate perception. It tells you to calm down when calm would actually be a form of denial. It trains you to regulate your way into tolerating conditions that should not be tolerated.

What if regulation isn't always the goal?

What if sometimes the goal is testimony?

What if your body's activation is not a problem to be solved but a truth to be witnessed? What if the shaking, the racing heart, the inability to settle is your body saying: this is not okay. This was never okay.

And I refuse to pretend it is.

There's a reason oppressed peoples have always used the body as a site of protest. The body that refuses to be calm is a body that refuses to comply. The body that stays activated is a body that is telling the truth about what it has survived.

I'm not saying don't regulate. I'm saying regulate with your eyes open. Know what you're regulating for. Notice if your regulation practice is helping you show up more fully for your life, or if it's helping you tolerate conditions you'd be better off changing or leaving.

There's a difference between settling your nervous system so you can be present and settling your nervous system so you can continue to be extracted from.

One is healing. The other is sophisticated dissociation.

Your body knows things. It knows what's safe and what isn't. It knows what's sustainable and what's depleting. It knows when you're in the wrong relationship, the wrong job, the wrong room.

The question is not how do I make my body stop reacting. The question is what is my body trying to tell me that I haven't been willing to hear.

Sometimes the most radical thing you can do is not calm down. Sometimes the most radical thing is to let your body speak. To let it be a witness. To refuse to regulate yourself into compliance with conditions that are slowly killing you.

Although you cannot breathe your way out of patriarchy, you can listen to the body that has been registering its impact all along."

What we’re witnessing globally, panic, polarization, chronic fear, is a nervous system event. Communities collapse into survival states just like individuals do. Hyperarousal becomes hostility. Shutdown becomes apathy. Safety becomes political.

Trauma isn’t just personal. It’s collective physiology responding to collective threat. When the world is dysregulated, therapists feel it too.

About my practice and EFT

About EFT: EFT/ Tapping is a universal healing tool that can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues. Designed to help reduce the intensity and impact of prior negative events by removing or releasing unresolved emotional barriers. EFT is often described as emotional acupuncture without the needles.

✨✨✨ About Kasia: Kasia is a joyful life-long learner! She has had the privilege of working and learning in many different occupations and settings. Kasia is a Certified Advanced EFT Practitioner, Stress Management Therapist, Creativity and Art Teacher, experienced lawyer, mother, meditator, yogi and conscious event organizer. She started her working life as a litigation lawyer, helping people with dispute resolution. Although she has moved on from the juridical practice, her work has always had the function of helping people to find peace and to see more clearly. She is excited about building a solid foundation for emotional self-regulation and finding tools for resilience, compassion, and loving-kindness.

✨✨✨ Kasia’s approach to EFT is to meet you where you are now in your experience. She holds space for you to speak your truth and explore the experience. This honoring of your experience creates a level of safety within that helps you trust yourself and the process. The issue can then begin to safely evolve away and empower you to feel better fast and live the life you are wanting.

“I have explored the field of personal development and number modalities in my own search for healing negative belief patterns that have resulted from past hurts, beliefs, and traumas. I find EFT to be one of the most effective, simple and accessible tools I have come across. EFT helps quickly and consistently clear negative patterns and false beliefs. Simultaneously it increases our overall well being by helping us achieve calmness, clarity, and confidence. EFT brings immediate relief from chronic stress and is a tool to achieve long-term emotional stability and transformation. I am excited to share the many benefits of EFT and coaching with individuals and groups for safe, significant and sustainable change.”
