Equmind is a source for knowledge and inspiration in order to promote higher awareness and implementation for sustainable mental and emotional health worldwide. Här tillåts vi att bara få vara, landa en stund i oss själva, hämta kraft, utvecklas som människa, hitta balans och fokus, och framförallt en plats för att återförena hjärta & hjärna. Vi använder oss av tekniker från öst som yoga samspelt

med modern filosofi och beteendevetenskap för att få en bättre förståelse för oss som människor och hur vi kan optimera oss själva i vår samtid. Yet let’s celebrate the importance of the International Yoga day today! YAYA to all you yogis & yoginis out there!🥳🥳

Applause to every deep breath you take, every asana you struggle through, every mental/emotional blockage you break through. Every single polishing of the diamond you are!👏🏼👏🏼

YOU (U) ARE AMAZING!❤️

Traveling around teaching globally over the last couple years I have seen the shift happening in “socially accepted importance of yoga” and some things I like to highlight for all of us to continue with and pay extra awareness to are:

🧘🏼‍♀️TALK openly about your practice and SHARE your individual yoga and meditation journey with others, story’s of self improvements are inspiring and can be the “reason” someone else begins their own yoga journey. What a gift to give someone else!! It also help You who shares your story to heal. Win-win!

🧘🏼‍♀️Adjust the practice so it fits YOUR life, now! Not how you used to practice, but what is beneficial for you today! See yoga as a true life-companion and as any relationship, we need to learn to adjust to the circumstances of life and how that affects the relationship. Your practice when you live a single life looks completely different from when in family life, a busy lifestyle requires different practice to a “less-busy” life, young vs when you are older, when you are healthy vs struggling diseases, and so on.

🧘🏼‍♀️Yoga can be just as much or little as you want it to be! Set your own goals with your practice and use the science to help you reach Your Goal on Your dharma.

🧘🏼‍♀️Ask for guidance & help. We need someone who has walked before us to properly learn, so seek up a guru/teacher you resonate with and allow yourself to be a beginner & a student.

Personally I am forever grateful for yoga and how it has transformed my life completely. I have now practiced for more than half my life, that speaks for itself!

Today I feel humbled on how much I have received in gifts from the practice, proud I have had the courage to walk this path and grateful for the excellent guidance I have received from my gurus.

I encourage you all to take this day to review your yoga journey. How has your practice shifted your energy, your mental and emotional state up until today? How has yoga impacted you on how you live your life today vs before you started your practice?

Take a moment, sit and meditate on below questions and you’ll see, see the beauty in the practice far beyond your logical understanding on how huge impact stretching, breathing and sitting still have on how you think, feel and act.

Sit with an open & compassionate heart, observe your journey without judgment and feel the gratitude to the ancient practice of Yoga and your own hard effort to your journey. 🤍

✨ Where in your life were you when yoga came in to your life (age/relationships/work/studies/etc)?
✨ Back then, how did you experience the world around you and how did you feel inside?
✨ Where are you now in regards to your life situation? Do you keep the same work/studies/relationships/etc or have any changes happened to your everyday life since your first practice?
✨How do you experience the world around you today and how do you feel inside? Is there a difference in how you can deal with fluttering emotions? Are “dark” emotions such as anger, jealousy, fear, egoism, lust and greed taking over control or are they less occurring and less dominant? Look at the more “light” emotions as an understanding, loving, compassionate & grateful heart, joy, faith, contentment and serenity. How and when do they appear in your life, how often are they present and you feel deeply aware and aligned with these emotions? Are there anything you can continuously do to increase their presence?
✨Now do the same with your thought pattern, how do you speak to yourself today vs then? Are thoughts a kind reminder or are you suffering under them, repeating them and hanging on to your “negative/draining” thoughts?

Yoga and meditation helps us to reach a balanced mental and emotional state, a place called equanimity where we won’t be shaken by any grade of either fortunate or unfortunate circumstances. Yoga is all about this journey where you have the power to design yours & to make the most of it!

🧘🏼‍♀️ EXCITING RETREAT NEWS FOR THE SUMMER! 🧘🏼‍♀️

WOHOOO we have found our summer retreat center on the Swedish island of Gotland in this 300sqm 1800th century historical manor on the famous scenery section of Ekstakusten. With only 15min walk to the ocean and next neighbors to be far away we live close together with the nature. In addition to the manor we have a 300sqm yoga shala in the old barn as well as a 100sqm shala on the cozy attic, plenty of space for everyone to be, relax and to enjoy! 🧘🏼‍♀️

Arriving to Gotland is a breath of fresh air, I always feel a huge difference coming home arriving with the ferry to this summer paradise. Shoulders go down, lung capacity increases and I instinctively feel calmer. Lots of the effects I find in the unique nature and the natural silence that covers the island. This is truly the place where Swedes go to be “really alone” and now .se are creating a warm atmosphere in togetherness for our retreats right on the island I grew up. 🤍

These fantastic news have us extend the summer tour on the island this year and we add our first retreat on the manor in August. Initially two weekend retreats are now open for booking:

SAVE THE DATES!

Aug 19th - 22nd
Open for all levels. This weekend will keep a focus on yoga foundation, which is perfect for the beginner or if you want to ensure your technique in the practice and ensure you are practicing safe and correct according to your individual anatomy and capacity.

Aug 26-29th
Open for you who practice somewhat regularly and seek inspiration for more. This weekend we will focus on the next steps in your practice. This is for you who feel ready to take your practice further, within the physical, mental and spiritual aspects you desire to learn more. Preferably you feel comfortable with the basic techniques in yoga and have touched base with pranayama/breath-work and meditation.

September 9-12th Hormone Yoga TTC (more info will come soon) Open for females in all ages.

We are so excited that from this Thursday May 20th we will open up our online yoga shala with an FREE OPEN HOUSE for four consecutive days! 🤩🥳🥳🥳

🧘🏼‍♀️To allow us to practice together.

🧘🏼‍♀️To get a more regular practice in place.

🧘🏼‍♀️To deepen our understanding in ourselves through the practice.

If you are new, this is a great opportunity for you to begin your yoga journey with us. If you practiced with us before we are so happy to be able to meet back on the mat!

We have listened to your requests to be able to practice yoga, meditation, breath work and chanting together 365 so being able to serve you also virtually is pure joy! 🤍

Here’s how it will work!

The open house will be Thursday - Sunday and is FREE OF CHARGE to everyone, newbie or advanced practitioner. Everyone can join our community and take part in these sessions.

Classes will begin:
Thursday & Friday 5.30pm CET
(8:30am PST)
Saturday & Sunday CET
Each session will go on for 1 hour

Thursday:
Get Your Yoga On! A flow based session where you’ll be able to let go of the stresses of the day and move back in to your body.

Friday:
Relax & rejuvenate! A soft yin yoga session where we work on navigating the nervous system to truly find that relaxed state in the body & mind.

Saturday:
The pranic way of living! Breath work session where we will learn the different steps in yogic breathing techniques and how to raise our Prana (energy level) and reduce our stress levels by proper yogic breathing.

Sunday:
The basis of meditation! Learn the first steps on how to meditate and an theoretical understanding of the benefits of Mindcontrol.

Teacher for all classes will be our founder who is an experienced teacher with 17y of self practice and thousands of teaching hours worldwide.

In a real-time LIVE interactive session you’ll be able to meet the teacher and get suggested adjustments & connect w the community!

I feel so(!) blessed I have the opportunity to share yoga, meditation & breath-work globally full time. I have been graced to travel the world sharing my passion for the practice and science of yoga I hold so dear and I am growing along with all of you wonderful people I’ve met over the years.

After living in India together with my teachers I have aligned myself with the calling to share these messages, the understanding and the knowledge that has been passed on to me. A lot of faith has been placed in me delivering these messages and I feel such pleasure and humility in sharing them with you.

THANK YOU everyone who shows up practicing together, online, irl & traveling to retreat and meet with me in person. I am so proud of all of you developing on your individual yoga journey, taking the necessary steps your heart desires! Without you passing along these messages wouldn’t be possible. We are creating this together and are all part of each other’s yoga journeys’! ✨

EQUMIND celebrate the IWD with GIVE AWAY’S! 🤍

We want to bring support to women who currently are struggling with mental illness due to pandemic consequences.

2 million women have been forced out of work, we see a quadruple increase in reported mental illness and even before the pandemic we were struggling with too high rate of mental illness, including children. 43% say their mental health has deteriorated over the past year, while more than a third (35%) report that their physical health has got worse.

Friday WHO says pandemic has caused more 'mass trauma' than WWII. Noting the effect on mental health and emphasized that mental health ought to be prioritized.

The good thing is that mental health now is up on the political agenda, the challenging part is to support each and everyone in need of support as the numbers rise.

This I will donate 180min of my time (3*60min sessions) to coach and listen to some of those women who are currently in need of extra support returning back to mental health. We will together find a sustainable way for you back into happiness and balance in your emotional and mental health!

Are you curious about the power of yoga, but do not want to be in a group or due to covid haven’t been able to practice? Are you feeling stressful right now, stuck in your physical body or mind, or just having a hard time setting aside a specific time for yoga each week?

Private yoga lessons are a great way to find your own yoga path. A PT works as an inspiration, a guide and will also hold you accountable helping you to be regular in your practice.

✨ After all, the best practice there is, is the one that is actually completed.✨

No body is the other body and together in a private setting you get the chance to deepen and increase your understanding, both for yoga and for your own body’s possibilities based on your particular conditions. In the first session we will do a thorough analysis of your current state with anatomy, diseases, injuries, stress levels, strength/flexibility ratio, emotional imbalances etc, and you’ll set up your goal and I will individualize a training program for you to best reach your goals. Depending on your frequency we will regularly follow up your process and successes to move you further along your own yoga journey.

Today I was working & practicing together with moving closer to reach one of her goals, Eka Pada Sirsasana, or leg behind head pose. We have been working together once a week for a couple months and she has developed a lot in her physical body awareness, got WAY more flexible and strong in her asanas, reduced stress levels and she has become a keen yoga practitioner realized the many benefits of yoga. We will keep working to reach her goals one session at a time. (Felicia you are such an amazing practitioner, it is so fun to be part of your yoga journey!)🤍

God fortsättning kära medlemmar!

Tiderna är fortfarande osäkra och nu behöver vi er hjälp och efterfrågar era tankar och behov. Hjälp oss genom att svara på nedan tråd så vi kan enklare skapa förutsättningar för att kunna tillmötesgå er önskan till att mötas även i pandemi-tider!

Hur känner ni yogis kring att åka på retreat i rådande tider, med övernattning respektive heldagsevent utan övernattning? Vad söker ni? Online träningen exploderar, men är det tillräckligt eller behövs något annat?

Dela gärna era tankar i tråden så vi lärare kan möta era behov tydligare i dessa tider som sannolikt kommer att sitta i en tid till framåt. Låt detta vackra samspel tydligare börja, berätta för oss hur ni vill mötas och vi kan enklare tillmötesgå och skapa förutsättningar för en sådan gemenskap även under pandemi tider.

Önskar du prova på att bo på landet i en 1700-tals Herrgård en period och leva risk-spridnings-fritt mitt i naturen?

Jag hyr nu ut Equminds 1700-tals Herrgårds flygel på 250kvm i Stjärnhov, 60 min från Sthlm C. En unik möjlighet att få bo på ett privat gods! YAY! 😃

Kanske känner du att lägenheten för familjen blivit lite för ensidig och ni behöver ett miljöombyte? Kanske går ni i längtan att bo i hus, men vill pröva först? Kanske vill ni kunna låta barnen springa fria och leka i naturen, i skogen och vid sjön?
Eller
Kanske så vill du ta med din käresta en period och bara vara ni, i bara varandet? Ta kalla vinterbad i vår privata sjö, med eller utan bastu, laga goda middagar (eller kanske tom boka av oss så sköter vi det åt er med catering)?
Eller
Kanske ni är två familjer som vill samlas men inte har tillräckligt stor yta?

Herrgården står för tillfället tillgängligt för nya möjligheter då vi önskar respektera regeringens beslut om att inte bjuda in till större samlingar.

Kom, ta med din egen kärleks-bubbla till vår magiska plats på landet. Där tiden står stilla, luften är ren och naturen läkande. Arbeta på distans, ta ledigt eller kombinera; det som passar er situation bäst!

Flygeln är:
Fullt möblerad och har sovplatser för 12 personer (vilket gör att max 8 regeln erbjuder ett par dubbelsängar) 5 sovrum, 2 stora (50kvm) vardagsrum, stort kök, tvättstuga samt carport.
Vi har super lyxiga dun täcken och kuddar från Hotellkänsla Hemma, fullt utrustat kök (och möjlighet att ordna catering om ni vill). En öppen spis i husets hjärta på ovanplan, en kakelugn nere. Ny tvätt/torktumlare samt diskmaskin och alla bekvämligheter ni behöver för att bo härligt i ett hus. Bergvärme!

Vill ni dessutom ha en egen privat k**k eller yogalärare så går även det att ordna. Önskar ni leva själva i er solitude, är även det en underbar möjlighet nu. Ni bestämmer!

Vi hyr ut på veckobasis samt månadsvis från nu (22/12) tillsvidare (feb-mars/april) beroende på utvecklingen av vad regeringen säger ang. samlingar i grupp. Hyr ni en längre period gäller naturligtvis den förhållningen. Endast för eget bruk, ej verksamhet.:

Give yourself a moment, (or in the best of worlds several moments), to check in with yourself every day, to recognize where your thoughts, emotions and sensations are. If they are gross or subtle, angry or kind, light or heavy. Learn to be the observer of what’s on the inside rather than on what’s on the outside, doing so without judgment or valuing it as “good” or “bad”. Whatever you find it just is, just as it is. There’s no need to force to change it, as it will naturally change with time.

Cultivating the observers mindset is a great way to integrate meditation in to every day life situations. This is how we learn to be mindful of ourselves and how we currently let our surroundings affect us, unconsciously to consciously. This way we fine tune the inner experience and learn to live more present, peacefully and sustainable.

Do this for YOU and it will be the best you can possible do for others too. 🤍
