What Is Parkinson’s Disease (PD)
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder.
It primarily affects dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra in the brain, which leads to reduced dopamine levels.
The most common symptoms are motor issues: tremor (shaking), rigidity (stiffness), bradykinesia (slowness of movement), and postural instability.
