Thank you to Amanda Pedersen, medtech journalist and former ileostomy patient, for her honest and frank first-hand account of living with an ileostomy. She explains how how she believes our new implant could be transformational and how we are aiming for high performance to really deliver for patients.

This week in Pedersen's POV, our senior editor – a former ostomy patient – gets personal about what defines success and failure in innovation.

Wishing our colleagues, partners, friends, and supporters a peaceful and joyous holiday period.

We have made considerable progress in the development of our TIES® technology in 2022. None of which would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff, clinical partners, and patients. We are incredibly grateful for their continuing support.

We can't wait to do more and achieve more in 2023!

Great to see surgical teams in the UK working together on our clinical trial.

Professor Manish Chand and his brilliant team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are sharing their learning and experience of using our new TIES® implant to help other hospitals trial the technology.

Last week, Dr Anil Agarwal, Consultant Surgeon, from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust observed the UCLH team implanting the device.

Interestingly, the patient is a keen surfer and is hoping that the technology will help him get back on his board without the inconvenience of using a bag.

Thank you Manish Chand and the team at UCLH!
