Antimicrobial resistance is a global problem that presents a major public health challenge. The aim of JPIAMR is to integrate relevant research activities across national borders. The need for this initiative is obvious – bacteria and other infecting agents know no borders and therefore trans-national cooperation is crucial. A shared strategic research and innovation agenda guides the research fun

ding. JPIAMR provides the forums and funding platform to conduct the joint actions that are urgently needed for understanding and curbing AMR on a global scale. The following 29 participating countries have dedicated their commitment to the success of the initiative: Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, , The Netherlands, Turkey, and United Kingdom.
