“Normal” results don’t always mean optimal conditions for conception.

Sometimes a deeper evaluation helps uncover what’s really going on.

Fertility is about balance between:
• ovulation
• s***m quality
• hormones
• uterine environment
• timing

One small imbalance can delay pregnancy.

❗️Remember:

S***m regenerates every ~2–3 months
So improvements can happen fairly quickly if you fix habits

Eat clean + don’t smoke + limit alcohol + avoid steroids + reduce plastics= great s***m!

Vitamin D is not just a number on your blood test — it quietly supports your body in trying to conceive.

It helps with:
• Egg development
• Preparing the uterus for implantation
• Keeping hormones balanced

Recent studies continue to show this connection.

A 2024 meta-analysis (Xu et al.) found that women with higher vitamin D levels had better chances of pregnancy and live birth during IVF. (PMC)

A 2025 study (Yu et al.) showed that vitamin D deficiency was linked to lower pregnancy rates, especially in women with PCOS. (PMC)

And newer reviews (2025–2026) suggest that improving vitamin D may support fertility by improving the uterine environment and hormonal balance . (MDPI)

Most doctors aim for levels above 30 ng/mL (75 nmol/L), even though the exact “perfect” level for fertility is still being studied.

Sometimes small steps lead to a big changes. Have you had your vitamin D level checked yet?

As fertility specialists, we sometimes recommend a DNA fragmentation test — a deeper look at s***m health.

How: simple semen sample.
What: checks the quality of s***m DNA.

High fragmentation = damaged genetic material, affecting fertilization and increasing miscarriage risk.

It can help explain:
• unexplained infertility
• IVF failure
• pregnancy loss

Sometimes, it’s the missing piece.

5 common reasons pregnancy may not happen right away

• In*******se not timed with ovulation
Pregnancy can only happen during the fertile window (about 3–5 days before ovulation and 1 day after). If in*******se doesn’t occur during this time, the chances are very low.

• Poor egg quality
Egg quality affects fertilization and embryo development and strongly depends on a woman’s age.

• Male factor
S***m count, movement, and shape all influence the ability to fertilize an egg. Remember to evaluate the male partner too.

• Thyroid imbalance
Thyroid hormones help regulate ovulation and the menstrual cycle, and imbalances can affect fertility.

• Tubal factors
Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes can prevent the egg and s***m from meeting.

6 ways to boost your fertility:

Maintain a healthy BMI — essential for normal ovulation, testosterone levels, and s***m parameters.

Follow a Mediterranean-style diet — rich in antioxidants, omega-3s, folate, zinc and vitaminD to support gamete quality.

Optimize stress and sleep — chronic stress may disrupt the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

Target the fertile window — in*******se every 2 days during the 5 days before ovulation and ovulation day.

Limit gonadotoxic exposures — smoking, excess alcohol, drugs, anabolic steroids and high caffeine intake.

Fertility evaluation — screen for endocrine disorders, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, and male factor infertility, initiate folic acid supplementation.

Over the past 30 years, people have been having less s*x.

And it’s not only about stress or busy lives.

Our brain runs on dopamine — the neurotransmitter of motivation, desire, and reward.

Years ago, intimacy, touch, and emotional connection were powerful sources of that feeling.

Today, our brains receive dopamine faster and easier than ever.

Social media.
Endless scrolling.
Videos, notifications, constant stimulation.

The brain gets used to quick rewards.

And things that require time, presence, and emotional connection — like intimacy — slowly move to the background.

But for reproductive health, connection matters.

Sometimes fertility challenges are not only about hormones or medical tests.

Sometimes they are about the connection between two people, which can get lost in the noise of modern life.

And the first step may simply be
finding your way back to each other.

Choosing no alcohol during pregnancy is the safest option.

✔ Alcohol easily crosses into fetal circulation.
✔ No amount of alcohol has been proven safe during pregnancy.
✔ Prenatal alcohol exposure is linked to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) — a lifelong condition.
