Human milk analysis
Miris is a Swedish MedTech company developing and selling instrument and solutions for human milk analysis. The company was established in 2001 focusing on te application of analysing dairy milk. In 2006 Miris launched its first instrument for human milk analysis as the field of individual nutrition of preterm babies became a standard in the neonatal intensive care units in Sweden. Since then, the company has built unique competence and expertise in this field. Miris market and distribute the product portfolio for Miris Human Milk Analyzer™ (Miris HMA™) containing a complete set of services and consumables. Miris HMA™ is measuring energy, fat, carbohydrates and protein content in human milk within minutes using a small sample volume. The Miris HMA™ was cleared by FDA for the U.S. market December 2018. Miris mission is to make individualized nutrition, based on breast milk, available globally to improve neonatal health.
At Miris we share the aspiration to bring science forward in neonatal care. Our belief is that this is best done through creating awareness and dialogue, and together with clinicians, care givers, and researchers, build an inclusive community that nurtures sharing of knowledge.
