Here is a tip for extending the life of your zinc-air battery:
When activating, please be sure to remove the sticker and expose the battery to air for at least 2 minutes for full activation before inserting it into your Ponto processor.

And remember--do not remove the sticker from the battery until you are ready to activate it for use!

The Sentio™ System (a sound processor and an implant) will compensate for hearing loss, i.e., improve the hearing of patients within the indicated use manifested by:
• Improved ability to hear sounds
• Improved speech intelligibility

For a patient with a unilateral hearing loss, the benefit will primarily be experienced for sounds directed to the fitted side/the hearing-impaired side. In general, with bone anchored hearing systems, if the patient has symmetrical bone conduction (BC) hearing loss and is bilaterally fitted, the binaural benefits will, for example, be in the improved ability to localise sounds.
