Dr. Kevin Lau is the founder of ScolioLife™, a series of tools for Scoliosis prevention and management. Dr Kevin Lau is a graduate in Doctor of Chiropractic from RMIT University in Melbourne Aus

tralia and Masters in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health in USA. He is a member of International Society On Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT), the leading international society on conservative treatment of spinal deformities and the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) the largest professional association in the United States. He was the first in Singapore to provide a non-surgical therapy for scoliosis in Singapore 2005 first by studying the Schroth Method of Exercises and then working in a clinic which implemented Clear Institute Methods. During this time he has been devoted to developing, practising, and teaching others about non-surgical solutions for scoliosis. He has completed 3 thesis on "Scoliosis and Exercise", "Scoliosis and Nutrition" and "The role of calcium and vitamin D in the prevention of low bone density and Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) in prepubertal women." With his research into spinal conditions, he is the published author of Your Plan for Natural Scoliosis Prevention and Treatment which has been translated to Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French and German. Dr. Lau combines a university education and a lifetime of practising natural and preventive medicine to provide a unique approach to health care which encompasses body, mind, and spirit. He made it his life's work to explore and share the truths about nutrition, diseases, health and healing. Educating patients from all walks of life and around the world, some were as young as 7 while others as old as 91. He is a recipient of the Best Health-care Provider Award by the Straits Time, the leading newspaper publication in Singapore and featured on PrimeTime Channel News Asia.

Meet this courageous 14-year-old boy who came to us with his mother, struggling with scoliosis and noticeable hunching. In the past, he was prescribed a brace, but found it overwhelming and refused to wear it, which took a heavy toll on his mental health.

Understanding his challenges, we took a different path—starting him on scoliosis-specific therapy without the use of a brace. Over just six months, his progress has been incredible:

• His upper thoracic curve improved from 21° to 13°,
• His mid thoracic curve reduced from 14° to 10°,
• His lower curve decreased from 10° to 4°

All without a brace!

🏆 Throwback: A Milestone from the Early Days! 🏆

It feels like just yesterday, but looking back at this 2006 feature in The Straits Times brings back so many memories. This was only my second year in Singapore, practicing out of my first clinic at Raffles City.

Receiving the “Healthcare Professional of the Year” (Readers' Choice) was such a humbling moment so early in my career. 🇸🇬

I still remember the patient featured in this story, Mr. Michael Lum. Helping him overcome chronic migraines and postural issues through spinal health was a reminder of why I chose this path. It wasn’t just about the "adjustment"—it was about changing lives through education, nutrition, and holistic care.

A lot has changed since 2006, but the mission stays the same:
