Itโ€™s the first week of 2026.

The holidays are over.
Life is back in motion.
Conversations have shifted to plans, upgrades, and what this year might bring.

For many families we meet at WINGS, this part of the year lands heavily.

Because while the world talks about holidays to book, cars to buy, and goals to chase, special needs parents are often hoping for very different things.

A calmer morning.
A couple more smile-y moments
One outing that feels less overwhelming.
A moment of inclusion- at school, on the playground, in everyday life.

Itโ€™s that progress is too often measured against timelines that were never built for them.

๐Ÿ”น Letโ€™s protect caregivers from the quiet weight of comparison.
๐Ÿ”น Letโ€™s build spaces where disabled and neurodivergent children donโ€™t have to earn belonging by catching up.

At WINGS, we will continue walking alongside families. Not toward someone elseโ€™s idea of success, but toward the moments that make real life easier, fuller, and more possible. ๐Ÿฆ‹

When Baby A joined WINGS at 11 months old with a diagnosis of CSNK2B / POBINDS, she was unable to sit or crawl independently.

Today, she is taking confident independent steps, navigating slopes, and uneven ground with growing strength and control.

This reel captures what can happen when the brain and body are given the right challenges, patience, and time to learn.

Every childโ€™s journey looks different.
Every step forward matters.

Thank you to Baby Aโ€™s family for trusting us with this journey.

When the plate vibrates, the body produces micro muscle contractions. Fast.
So instead of children being held in a position, their muscles actually fire + activate.

This is how we build real strength.
Real balance.
Real functional change.

Not artificial support.
Not โ€œholding the child up.โ€

When L first joined WINGS in January 2020, he was 8 years old and carrying a lot on his small shoulders.

Diagnosed with Rubinsteinโ€“Taybi Syndrome, he also lives with scoliosis, hearing impairment, astigmatism and tight muscles. His parents shared that:

โ€œLโ€™s fine motor is poor, he cannot control his fingers and hands very well.
He tippy toes, bends at his hip and lifts his head up a lot of the time,
with a slight tilt to the right.โ€

Stepping over small obstacles was difficult.
Navigating slopes was scary.
His fingers and hands just didnโ€™t seem to do what he wanted them to do.

Through years of hard work in therapy, and even more hard work at home from L and his family, something beautiful began to happen:
โœจ By 2024, he was stepping over the same obstacles that once stopped him.
โœจ By early 2025, he started climbing up and down the staircase with only minimal support.
โœจ And by November 2025, L could pull on his pants independently.

These may look like โ€œsmallโ€ things on video.
But for L, his family, and our team, they are huge steps towards freedom, confidence and dignity in daily life.

L, we are so proud of your courage, your determination and your sense of humour through it all. ๐Ÿ’™
Thank you to his parents for trusting us with his journey.

Every childโ€™s path looks different.
Every step forward matters.

Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we celebrate the babies, children, teens, and families who teach us every day what true strength, joy, and courage look like. ๐Ÿ’œ

This yearโ€™s UN theme, โ€œFostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,โ€ reminds us that real progress isnโ€™t measured by test scores or milestones alone, but by how well everyone is welcomed, supported and included.
UN DESA
+1

At WINGS, our role is simple but sacred:
๐Ÿ”น Listen to each childโ€™s unique voice
๐Ÿ”น Build skills through play, movement, and intensive therapy
๐Ÿ”น Stand with families as partners, not just โ€œprovidersโ€
๐Ÿ”น Advocate for a world where every childโ€™s potential is seen

Disability inclusion is not just a day on the calendar โ€” itโ€™s the way we choose to show up, every single session.

Hereโ€™s to building a society where every child has the space, support, and dignity to spread their wings. ๐Ÿฆ‹

About Us

Every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential...

Weโ€™ve all heard that our child โ€œwill never walk, never talk, neverโ€ฆโ€ but you have seen them transcend those words and do things they were never expected to. Limited access to cutting-edge therapies has caused many families to give up hope for their child.

Here at WINGS Therapy and Learning Centre, we want to change that.

Founded in 2017, WINGS is Singaporeโ€™s first intensive therapy center to offer transformative and innovative therapies such as the TheraSuit Method ยฎ, CME and Intensive Gait Training. We provide new options and a ray of hope to your child by giving them a place to learn, make friends and progress to their fullest potential.
