Photochromic vs Transition lenses — are they the same? 🤔

Many people think they are two different things, but actually Transitions is just a brand of photochromic lenses.

Photochromic lenses are lenses that automatically darken when exposed to UV light and become clear again when you go indoors.

POV: Why optometrists always bring a trash bag during eye checks

Every time we ask them which one is better suddenly everything become “6… 7… 6… 7…”
So the trash bag is there… just in case we feel like throwing the whole eye chart away after hearing “six seven six seven” for the 50th time 😭

But jokes aside, proper eye testing is important — especially for kids. Sometimes they guess, sometimes they shy, and sometimes they just follow trends. That’s why we guide them step by step to make sure we get the most accurate results for their vision.

Our 2nd house visit for the week 🤍

This time, Shaikh & Hazirah went to an HDB flat to do a full eye check for a lovely elderly patient 👓✨

Every time we go for house visits, we honestly feel a little emotional. We see different situations, and it reminds us why we do what we do. Not everyone is able to travel to the shop, but everyone still deserves proper, quality eyecare 🤍
