Carbon Peel Laser is a type of non-ablative laser resurfacing that uses a combination of carbon and light to remove debris from the face.
Before the procedure, a layer of carbon lotion is applied on to the skin. After which, the laser pulses gently exfoliate the outermost epidermis of the skin, removing the carbon, along with the impurities. The next few passes of laser regenerates collagen and rejuvenates the dermal cells.
Benefits include an improvement in skin texture, tone, pore size and lighter pigmentation marks. Individuals with acne-prone skin can also benefit from Carbon Peel Laser as it targets sebaceous glands to reduce sebum production and p. acne (acne-causing) bacteria.
One session takes about 30 minutes. Numbing cream is available for those with more sensitive skin, but it is usually not required. Apart from a warm prickly sensation, the treatment is mostly comfortable. There is no downtime and you can resume your usual activities immediately after the treatment.
Depending on your skin condition, 3-5 sessions are recommended for optimal results.
