Today's story is about Anandi Gopal Joshi. In 1883 a young 21-year-old Anandi Gopal Joshi became the 1st Indian, woman to receive a medical degree. It was the encouragement and learnings she received from her much older husband, Gopalrao that set her up. He recognized her talent and championed her all the way.
