This cheong fun stall isn’t like the rest. Their rolls have that firmer-yet-chewy bite and standout fillings. Their chai po version = comforting, the cha siew roll gets a refreshing coriander lift, and the peanut butter + sweet sauce roll is wow. But psst… the prawn one disappears fast, so better go early.

You know those stalls that look super ordinary, like nothing much going on? This one is exactly that — plain beehoon with just bean sprouts, and porridge so simple you'd think you could whip it up at home.

But wahhh I tell you.. don’t be fooled. The beehoon is wok-fried till smooth and savoury, with that sweet crunch from the sprouts. The porridge? Subtle but power-packed with dried fish and scallops. No fancy toppings, just pure flavour.

Affordable, comforting, and secretly amazing. Go try it! And if your luck is off that day.. The queue for it can go across the hawker centre!

So… are you team dry or team wet Hokkien Mee? 👀This one’s the old-school kind — not the wet type, but still juicy with that prawn stock fried right into the noodles. Then you throw in the spicy orange sambal + a squeeze of lime and wow… prawns, squid, belly pork, crispy lard croutons — shiok lah!

Of course we have to include Mala in our listings. But, one with a Singapore feel. Or else, go Chengdu or Chongqing lor😉. A Hot Hideout is not your usual. “burn your tongue off” Mala — this one balances the spice with rich umami that hits just right.

Pick your fave ingredients, choose spice level 1–3, soup or dry, weigh, pay, and boom 💥 – fast, fuss-free, and super shiok. And psst… if Mala still scares you, their collagen tomato broth is a comfy option.

Menu’s tiny — just 6 items — so the move is to order everything. And don’t skip the prawn crackers: crispy outside, crunchy with bean sprouts, soft inside… dangerously addictive 🤤Once you’re done, grab a seat — the ladyboss will somehow track you down (& she always does 👀). Bonus: they still serve the rare old-school starchy meat sauce dip + vinegared blue ginger chilli. Extra shiok with their beehoon.
