Are you cool enough for the bees to decide?

Humanely removing Apis Dorsata aka Malayan Giant Honey bees is possible. Some pest control will tell you it is impossible. Even some inexperience bee keepers will tell you the same thing. The sad thing is that people are usingbthis as a "reason" to kill these type of bees. As we are not monitoring the bee population and the bee expert are not paying attention to our local honeybees situation. Even our local honeybees are the main keystone species to support the Singapore ecology. The lost of natural habitate due to urban developement, climate change, and the ignorance to ill treat our local honey can be a very dangerous. Please dont wait till the point of no return.

It was great opportunity to be a guest speaker to talk about honey with Steve. He was so funny if his jokes can be included. Anyway the best honey is when the honey is freshly harvested locally.

My fastest Bee nest removal record. This was done yesterday at Marina Bay Sand.
Just before removal, the time was 01:06:45.
After transferred into the box the time was 01:07:53.
A total of 1 min and 8 seconds used.

The bees were remain in one cluster.
No dispersal of bees.
No dead bee, and
No releasing of chemicals to the surrounding.
