3) Family physicians will take centre stage once again as the first and last contact point for any health concerns. We will be the patient’s most important health partner and advocate.
4) We strive to achieve what is thought to be unachievable and undoable.
5) We strive to push the frontiers of healthcare delivery and bring complex technologies into the hands of the family physician.
6) We will not accept age old assumptions or well established theories or practice habits without putting them through the baptism of fire, the rigorous process of evidence based medicine. If the evidence does not exist, we will strive to create it.
7) We recognise that to contribute optimally in a healthcare setting, we need to make a personal commitment to continuously learn and improve; continuously find new inspiration everyday and always remain positive.
8) We recognise that the right people are our greatest assets, we will reward them and remunerate them according to their contributions and provide for them an inspiring and lively workplace environment.
9) Healthcare should be safe. We strive for zero errors in its delivery.
