A lot of people think more pressure = better results… but that’s not how your body works.
Your muscles aren’t a steak to be tenderised. 🥩
When the pressure is too hard, your body goes into defence mode, the muscles tense up, your nervous system locks down, and instead of releasing, everything gets tighter.
And yes… sometimes that even means bruising and feeling more sore than when you walked in.
The truth?
Effective massage is about the RIGHT pressure — not the maximum pressure.
It should feel good, therapeutic, and productive… not like you’re taking part in Physical Asia. 🥲
Let’s change the old mindset that
“If I’m screaming, it must be working.”
