Awareness of our thinking patterns profoundly shapes our well-being, acting as a guiding compass through the intricate labyrinth of our thoughts.
Recently, I had the privilege of sharing insights on the impact of distorted thinking and strategies to overcome these mental entanglements. In my TEDx talk, I delved into the fascinating exploration of how our thought patterns not only shape our reality but also hold sway over our emotions. A heartfelt thank you to the Tanglin Trust School and the TEDx team TEDx for granting me this incredible platform to share my perspective.
This experience holds particular significance for me, having grappled with "generalized anxiety disorder" for significant periods of my life. Stepping out of the familiar confines of my therapy room to deliver my first TEDx talk marks a substantial personal victory. I am immensely grateful to my loved ones whose unwavering support has been my pillar throughout this journey. A special shout-out to my younger daughter, Anvi, whose insightful critiques made the content more relatable for students. Her presence in the audience, beaming with pride, added an extra layer of warmth and accomplishment to this momentous occasion.
