To be a Leading Community Healthcare Hub providing quality services to the needy in Singapore
Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital boasts 750 beds in nursing home care at our Serangoon Road main site and more than 400 beds at our second nursing home, KWSH @ Potong Pasir. Our trained and professional employees serve thousands of patients every month through our inpatient services, rehabilitation centres, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) centres, community care centres and home care services. Despite being a charitable organisation that is heavily dependent on public support and donations, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital remains focused on providing quality care and services to our clients. Besides our care services, KWSH also runs a community training institute.

Ending the year on a sweet note โจ
From popcorn, ice cream, waffles and muah chee, to game booths, a photo corner and plenty of smiles, our KWSH Year-End Party 2025 was a heartfelt gathering to appreciate the dedication and teamwork across our organisation.
Thanks to everyone who made this year impactful, and as we step into 2026, hereโs to shared moments, small joys, and moving forward together! ๐
We are deeply honoured to be a beneficiary of the Charity Cantonese Opera held on 23 November 2025. With the dedication and generosity of the organisers, artistes and partners, over S$400,000 was raised to support affordable, quality care for seniors and vulnerable communities.
What made the night especially meaningful?
More than 70 years ago, opera legend Hung Sin-nui supported KWSH through a fundraising performance in Singapore. To be part of a similar cause decades later made the evening even more meaningful. Every note sung carried hope for our residents and patients.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with KWSH. Your generosity enables us to continue caring, serving and healing with heart.

Founded in 1910, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital (KWSH) is one of Singaporeโs oldest charitable healthcare institutions. In the last century, the Hospital has continued the strong tradition of community service, having cared for many generations of Singaporeans. KWSHโs Heritage

In 1910, a group of business men from the Guangdong Province established KWSH to provide free medical and hospitalisation services for Chinese immigrants from three prefectures in Guangdong Province, namely Guangzhou (ๅนฟๅท), Huizhou (ๆ ๅท) and Zhaoqing (่ๅบ). The Hospitalโs name (ๅนฟๆ ่) was thus derived by putting together the first Chinese characters of the names of the three prefectures!
