"All right, ladies, let's talk about perineal tears. These occur during childbirth and can range from a first degree tear to a fourth degree tear.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผA first degree perineal tear is the most harmless and only affects the skin around the va**na. It's not too bad, but it still hurts like hell.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผA second-degree tear is a bit worse. It affects both the skin and the muscles down there. Ouch. It may be that the wound needs stitches to get everything back in order.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผThings get really serious with a third-degree tear. This tear goes through the perineal muscles and into the muscle that controls your bowel movements. Phew. You definitely need stitches and special care.
๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผAnd finally, we have the fourth degree tear. This is the most severe tear that goes through the perineum, the sphincter muscle and into the re**um. This isn't good. You need immediate medical attention and maybe even an operation to repair the damage.

"I want to talk to you about why physiotherapy can be a great idea for managing urgency control. Here are three reasons why I think it's a good idea:

Functional pelvic floor muscles: Doing appropriate pelvic floor exercises with me can help you retrain the muscles to where it's appropriate that support your bladder and urethra. This means you'll be better able to hold your p*e when you get a sudden urge to go, and reduce the number of times you have to rush to the bathroom.

Bladder training: I will teach you techniques to retrain your bladder, which can help you gain better control over it. This can involve gradually increasing the time between bathroom breaks and creating a more regular schedule for p*eing. You'll basically be teaching your bladder some new tricks!

Avoid medication: Some people with urgency control issues may be prescribed medication, but physiotherapy can be a non-invasive alternative that can help you reduce your dependence on medication. By improving the pelvic floor muscles and bladder control, you may be able to manage your symptoms without having to take medication, which can be a major win!

Menopause can be a real ordeal in the truest sense of the word. Symptoms like hot flushes, mood swings and va**nal dryness can really put a damper on you. But fear not, because I can provide relief through physiotherapy! With exercises, education and manual therapy, physiotherapy can help manage these annoying symptoms and make life a little more bearable.
And it's not just about relieving symptoms - physiotherapy can also prevent health problems that often accompany menopause, such as osteoporosis and urinary incontinence.
Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and improving bone density can go a long way.
Plus, exercise through physiotherapy can promote overall health and reduce the risk of chronic disease while improving your posture, balance and flexibility. So ladies, don't let the menopause get you down - physiotherapy can be a real game changer.
