Seriously the best curry in Tokyo!!! Chanced upon this restaurant when Google mapping with my friend on our way to find dinner and I'm so glad we did.

I ordered the pork cutlet curry rice and damn boyy the curry to rice to meat ratio is perfect!! Huge portion for a reasonable price of 890¥. The pork cutlet is huge as well and the meat is tender and crispy. The curry is just mouth-watering good, not extremely spicy with a good combination of sweetness and spicy-ness. I finished the bowl with not one bit of curry left because the curry is flavourful and thick! Definitely a must-try if you are hoping to get some famed Japanese curry!!

Service was fast and efficient, we got our food within 10mins

Ambience: 9/10 because the interior is cozy and lighting is not too bright, giving a homely comfy feels.

Operating hours:
Weekdays: 11am-930pm
Wkends:11am-9pm

Nearest station: Shibuya station(3mins walk)

Don't say bojio!! I will definitely go back and try it again, of course when the coronavirus situation subsides😭😭

World's third ramen restaurant to be awarded the Michelin one star after Tsuta and Nakiryu?! Awarded the number 1 ramen in Tokyo in 2016 and 2017 and number 1 ramen in whole of Japan in 2016. This is a restaurant not to be missed if you are chasing those stars!! It's hidden in the back alley of Shinjuku and can get pretty crowded during peak hours so yup get there before lunch time and dinner time!

Got myself the shoyu ramen(980¥) which is extremely rich in flavours. Containing truffle sauce and porcini oil, atop the hamaguri broth and handmade-in-house noodles. Definitely gotta admit its decently priced for its reputation and brand. I added egg for an additional 100¥.

The food is good but there is a strict policy of just taking pictures of your food and not the staff nor the stores/assistants. Also, they expect customers to be considerate and finish up their food fast so others can have a chance to eat. Good for those waiting to eat and bad for those wanting to enjoy the ambience I guess? Otherwise, food is goood though a little oily. The space inside is pretty cramp and can only sit around 11 people so I really think they can improve the ambience by increasing their store space.

Would recommend going when there's no queue, otherwise the long wait and the short eating time makes the trip there not really worth.

Alternatively, although not the 1st on my cheese tart list, this definitely comes in 2nd!! I love it because its cream cheese is soft and fluffy. The crust is slightly soft, so each bite just melts in your mouth. Additionally, it has a mild sweet honey taste hence it's called honey cheese tart! Got to say honey and cheese really goes well together!!

Each costs 250¥ and this store is located a stone throw away(~3mins walk) from hakone yumoto station. This is the ONLY outlet in the whole of JAPAN that sells honey cheese tart so MAKE SURE TO GET THEM when you make a trip to hakone. There's a long queue of people coming just for their cheese tart so you might need to wait awhile but service is definitely fast and efficient!

This is the cheese tart to DIE FOR!!! If you are still searching for the dream cheese tart, look no further than this, BAKED cheese tart. Originated from Hokkaido, these cheese tarts have made a name for themselves worldwide as the crispy, rich and fluffy cheese tart they are. Their fame crispy tart crust is made from the double baking process. Each crust is baked once and another time after adding in their signature cream cheese mousse. Their cheese tart are baked fresh daily and as a fanatic of cheese tart, personally I'm IN LOVE with it as soon as I tasted them a few years ago on a trip to Tokyo. Back in Japan a few weeks ago again, I definitely gotta satisfy my addiction so I bought their limited seasonal cheese tart which is the strawberry flavoured as well as the original. Each bite is soft, creamy and warm, with the crust retaining its shape and crisp. Of all the cheese tart I've tried, none of them manage to win my heart over other than this delightful cheese expert! My go-to EVERYTIME I'm in Japan!
Price is pretty decent considering the quality you will be getting so I think you should get your hands on them fast!! Also some baked cheese tart shops in Japan are designed cafe-style with seating areas for you to chill and soak in the cheesy ambience. Sadly, baked cheese tart closed their Singapore outlet, so do check out their websites on all the available international locations they have!! Tag me if you fall in love with them as much as I do!! With the pancake craze gaining momentum in Singapore, you might be wrecking your brains thinking of a good pancake shop, well look no further than Poofy by Riz Labo at Habitat by Honestbee.

At $14, it comes with a plate of 3 poofy cloud soufflé pancake, topped with Vanilla cream, fresh berries and maple syrup. Their pancakes is called poofy because it's so fluffy and soft like the clouds in the sky and it truly does live up to its name. It's made of Takaragasa soft wheat flour as well!

However, I would still prefer belle ville pancake because it's more worth the price and filling to the stomach. Poofy is slightly more expensive but much fluffier compared to belle ville hence isn't that filling for me

Yum yum Morganfield!!

Got my hands on this Morgan Ribs Sharing feast suitable for 3-4 people!! Let's take a moment to admire this huge platter of pork rib! Do you know their pork Ribs is sourced from the United States, and cut from the pork belly?!

To those who are unaware, this means that their meat is meatier and fattier than baby back rib. The meat is well cooked that its very tender and flavourful🍖😋

Got it from eatigo at 50% discount the other time and I got to say that for 50% discount, its so worth!!

Usual price= $123.90

Taipei's most popular unagi restaurant??!! It's none other than FEI WU QIAN!!

FEI WU QIAN is very famous for its unagi Don which explains the always crowded restaurant located in ZhongShan. Opened by a Japanese Taiwanese family, it was established about 40 years ago and till date is still a hot go-to place for many.

Tried their katsu Don, which comes with a bowl of rice and pork cutlets in another bowl. This allows for a more organised eating I guess? 🤣 I gotta say the portion is really huge and costs only around $5 which goes without saying, its a steal!! Where can you find something so economical yet with such quality all in 2 bowls?!

As someone who has never tried unagi before, I decided to go small and tried their unagi tamago and boyyy it was like heaven on earth just thinking about it now. A plate of 4 huge evenly sized Japanese omelette tightly wrapped around their grilled eel costs around $6. It was so soft, warm and the unagi is so fresh and sweet, its gives off a comfy and homely feel! For people who have never tried unagi, this is the BEST way to start! Also, I topped my meal with a hot pipping miso soup.

Opening hours:
Tues-Sunday: 11am-2.30pm, 5-9pm. Closed on Monday.

Tips: Do come early if you wanna beat the crowd as this is easily the busiest restaurant in ZhongShan frequented by many corporate workers.

Overall impression📝:
Value for money: 10/10
Aesthetics: 10/10
Quality: 10/10
Service: 8/10, staff were quick to take orders and deliver our food!
