The CoolSculpting Elite fat reduction device has finally reached the sunny shores our Little Red Dot! I was honoured to be invited once again as a keynote speaker at Allergan Aesthetics’ kickoff event of its latest fat freezing device on 29 April 2023.

During the launch, I shared my clinical experience with the CoolSculpting Elite device that was based on my research which is part of a multi-country study on patient satisfaction, safety, and effectiveness of cryolipolysis. I also talked about my patients’ results from their treatments that was completed during the clinical studies in 2021. We ended the evening with a panel discussion to wrap up the event.

The highly anticipated CoolSculpting Elite machine is finally launched in Bangkok, with much fanfare across the region on 4 April 2023. I was honoured to be one of the keynote speakers to unveil the updated fat freezing device. This non-invasive fat freezing device is Allergan Aesthetics’ latest update to its CoolSculpting machine featuring an improved safety profile, a larger treatment area, and curvier applicators for a more comfortable fit.

I shared my experience and results with CoolSculpting Elite in the clinical studies that we completed in 2021, and also took part in a “Meet The Experts” question-and-answer panel session with two other doctors—key opinion leaders for Allergan Aesthetics from Japan and Thailand. Research has shown that combining cryolipolysis (fat freezing) with an electromagnetic muscle stimulation (EMMS) device like the Tesla Muscle Former will reduce waist circumference more so than when only one treatment modality is used for body contouring. This is in line with what we have always been doing at our Halley clinics, which is to combine synergistic therapies to improve outcome for our patients.

There is a lot of demand for the Fotona 4D Laser and it is not hard to understand why. This no downtime laser targets some of the biggest concerns of patients, which are mainly big pores, saggy skin, and the lines around their mouth – namely the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. The beauty of this laser is that it uses not one, not two, but four dimensions of rejuvenation to tighten the skin from inside out. With that, we literally mean treating the skin from inside the mouth so as to kickstart the tightening process around our jawline and perioral region.
I explained the benefits of this popular laser rejuvenation treatment during an interview with Kuwabara-san. We recently made a decision late 2021 to add the new Fotona PQX Picolaser to the range of lasers that we have at Halley.Medical.Aesthetics. The question I often get is: Why bring in another pico laser when you already have the PicoSure? Aren’t all pico lasers work the same since they have the word “pico” in it?

At long last! A research on fat reduction using cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting) that I was working on with an international team of doctors and surgeons in 2019 is now finally published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. I was the lead doctor for this international research: “High Participant Satisfaction Achieved Using Cryolipolysis for Fat Reduction of the Abdomen and Flanks”, which involved 106 participants across four countries, namely Australia, Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

This report shows that cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting) for fat reduction of the flanks and abdomen was well-tolerated and associated with high levels of satisfaction across multidimensional patient reported outcomes.
