I closed the Year 2025 being 1% better version of myself. Attend a bootcamp by on how to become professional speaker.

What hit me was when he spoke about start with inner work and how we behave is scripted. That’s exactly what I have been helping people with speaking to corporate office and schools.

The internal locus of control instead of the external locus of control. It starts from within. The injunction, the driver, the transactional analysis. I found a voice I can connect to.

His vibes and energy is what I want to learn. What I didn’t know, he is the man influencing Singapore Airline excellent customer for over 20 years. A company I am honored to be one of their panel psychotherapist.

9 more years to 50s — another 108 months to grow, contribute, and thrive.

When we think about it, how many 10-year chapters do we truly have in life? 人有多少个十年？Got this phrase from a show many years ago.

Each decade carries its own purpose.
In our 20s, we chase opportunities, we feel like we are superman or wonder women.

In our 30s, we build foundations, after acknowledging we are not almighty or powerful and gather experience from life, we got some form of direction.

In our 40s, we pause, reflect, and refine — to live more aligned with who we are and what matters most, to guide, to mentor, to unlearn and relearn.

Lately I’ve been asking myself:
• Have I found my purpose, or am I still uncovering it?
• Am I staying committed to my responsibilities — as a parent, professional, and individual?
• Am I learning, growing, and adapting, or staying comfortable with what I already know?

The world has changed so much in just one decade — from how we use the internet to how we connect, learn, and work. How the handphones and camera have coming out with new design.
If technology can evolve that quickly, perhaps we too are invited to grow — not just in skill, but in mindset, resilience, and meaning.

Ten years from now, I hope to look back and say:
I didn’t just get older — I grew, learned, and lived with intention.

Here’s to the next 108 months —
to thriving with purpose, courage, and growth.

After 2.5 years of private practice, REAP Couselling has evolved. The logo added in Chinese wording. It direct translate into “Lin’s style counselling services”.

What is Lin’s style? A style that follows my personality. Focus on relationship building and self awareness. Able to carry out the session in a light hearted tone or serious manner. Social Science is both Science and Art. Every conversation is a piece of Art, with intervention back by evidence-based Science Research.

My style consist of conversing in English, Singlish, Chinese and HOKKIEN. What a rare breed!! 😂😂

When I carried my child, I Found my Calm

I thought when I babywearing my baby, it is for him to fall asleep comfortably with groundednes and security.

Never have I thought that actually it helps me calm myself too.

Babywearing isn’t just about convenience or keeping your hands free.
It’s a gentle practice that nurtures bonding, regulation, and confidence — for both parent and child.

🫶 The closeness releases oxytocin, calming both baby and caregiver.

🌿 It strengthens secure attachment, helping babies feel safe and seen.

💭 It reduces stress and anxiety

💪 And for parents, it restores a sense of control and competence during those long, unpredictable days.

With my plates so full at work, when I spend time carrying my baby, I don’t just hold them physically, in fact I am
carrying connection, calm, and care.
That’s the foundation of mental wellness for both of us.

10.10 World Mental Health Day

Is to remind us the importance of mental health. The state of mental health determines our emotion and behavior.

We encounter work-stress, relationship stress, personal stress. These are stress induced. It could take a toll of us. How about relax-induced activities like going for a walk, listening to music, exercise, engage in hobbies. Engaging them will lead you to a different space.

I did this activity call Photos Teleport at revenue house today. Everyone participated in the activities quickly.

Motion create Emotion. Focus on things that you find important, that will help you REAP your rewards.

In this season of Mooncake Festival, many gather to share mooncakes and admire the full moon.
But when we look closer, it’s not really about the mooncake — it’s about the bonding.

To compare price and discuss about which restaurant provide the most valuable for money options can be counted bonding as well.

The bonding to take this opportunity, setting boundary away from our work, reunion with family, having mooncake and admiring the full moon accompany with connection.

This give us a reason to pause.
To reconnect.
To sit together and be reminded that relationships are built not through grand gestures, but through small, shared moments.

Like the changing phases of the moon, our relationships also shift — sometimes bright and close, other times distant and quiet.
Yet what holds us together is the intention to keep showing up, to listen, and to care.

Is there a time when busy schedule pile up and you can’t recall? We thought is ingrain in us but what we never know that we might be carried away, self doubt, lost direction, lack clarity, state of dilemma.

I am feeling in awe!!

The experience of waiting for 9 months without knowing the gender, the pushing and then coming out from the womb. Such a joy!!

The feet, as long as my finger, slowly growing. A miracle unique-individually created, intricately woven, and masterfully knit together for only you can furfil.

I believe that guidance is important. Is like tree bearing fruits. That’s why we impart values to them. Not just knowledge. Value is the decision making Operating System. How they behave is base on value and beliefs. Starts from the care-giver. And care-giver would need to build self-awareness and knowledge in order to impart values to the little one. Is a systemic process.

Most important of all, Relationship!
