How do you handle reactive thoughts?
Reactive thoughts are spontaneous responses that arise in our minds when we encounter certain situations or stimuli. These thoughts are often fueled by emotions, biases, or past experiences, and they can cloud our ability to listen effectively.

In the context of listening, reactive thoughts can hinder our ability to truly hear and understand what the speaker is saying. Instead of being fully present and attentive, we may find ourselves preoccupied with our own thoughts, judgments, or reactions to what the speaker is saying. This can lead to misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and a lack of empathy or connection with the speaker.

One may be good listener but what if other person doesn’t share. Aarti highlighted that Listening has two roles: Listener and Sharer. While one focuses on being a good listener but it is equally important to focus on sharer. Are you a good Sharer? In Heart-Based listening session, equal focus is on sharer in terms of what’s okay to share and what’s Not ok to share.
