Hip flexors = underrated but essential for triathletes.

All 3 disciplines put a lot of stress on them → if they’re tight or weak, it’s only a matter of time before something starts to hurt.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of running a workshop for the Metasport crew (aka the Metamates) focused on one thing many athletes overlook… taking care of their hip flexors.

✔️ Understanding their role (lift the knee, hinge at the waist, stabilise pelvis & lower back)
✔️ Moving better with simple dynamic warm-ups
✔️ Improving mobility with targeted stretches
✔️ Building strength to support performance

Simple tools, big impact.

Train smarter, move better, stay injury-free.

Great race yesterday to wrap up the Metasprint series 🙌

Triathlon XL (Olympic distance):
1.5km swim • 40km bike • 10.5km run

The flat bike course really played in my favour — managed to hold a strong pace at 31.6 km/h 🚴‍♀️ and I finished the race in 2h55 💪

Always something special about racing alongside so many Metamates and hearing the cheers out there. The energy makes a difference.

Grateful for this one — already looking forward to the next challenge : T100!!🔥

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of hosting a conference with Accueil Singapour on the topic:
“Moving differently after 40.”

Because at some point, what used to work… simply doesn’t anymore.

In our 40s, the body changes — recovery is slower, hormones shift, and pushing harder is not always the answer. Yet many keep training the same way they did in their 20s or 30s… and end up stuck, frustrated, or injured.

During this talk, we explored:
• Why the “like before” approach stops working
• The most common mistakes to avoid
• How priorities need to shift
• The importance of truly listening to your body
• And how to redefine your goals in a smarter, more sustainable way

Moving after 40 is not about doing less — it’s about doing things differently.
With more awareness, more intention, and ultimately… better results.

Duathlon XL yesterday with the Metasprint Series 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Great event, great organisation, and lots of Metamates racing and cheering along the course — which helped a lot when my legs decided halfway through that cramps would be a fun addition to the race.

Bike… cramps.
Run… more cramps.
Finish line… finally 😅

Not the easiest race but still happy with the time.

Next race in 2 weeks — let’s see if my legs behave better this time 🔥

Aquathlon Metasprint Series 2026 🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️
First race of the year and such a good one!

Strong swim, steady run (even with the heat), but the real highlight?
Racing alongside the Metamates. The energy, the encouragement, the shared suffering 😅 — it changes everything.

No podium, but a good performance and smart pacing for longer distances this season.
Grateful, fired up, and already looking forward to the next one ☀️

Longest ride I’ve ever done, 92km 🚴‍♀️🔥

Pushed past my limits yesterday with my Metamates from Metasport Triathlon Club. Quads were burning, legs were done — but their cheering kept me going. I honestly wouldn’t have made it alone.

That’s the power of a tribe. Train together, go further 💛

Rainy season in Singapore☔️… so when the sun shows up, you don’t waste it ☀️

Yesterday’s mini-duathlon: bike → run → bike, cruising around and through the Botanic Gardens.
Even after 11 years in Singapore, I still managed to get lost in there 😄

Monitor lizards sunbathing, beautiful trees everywhere, and that feeling of moving outdoors 💚

Training myself never stops — just enjoying it a little extra when nature joins in 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️🌿
