This year, our recently concluded SOHNSS conference featured a highly anticipated segment - the inaugural ENT SuperBowl, a trivia quiz bringing together teams from across the clusters for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition! 🌟

From anatomy brain-teasers to surgical pearls and esoteric historical trivia, the questions kept everyone on their toes. It was heartening to see such enthusiasm, camaraderie, and shared passion for learning across all participants.

🥇 Congratulations to our very own SingHealth team for emerging as champions among the clusters! 🥇 Our team comprising Pei Yuan, Jia Jia and Claire put up a commendable performance showcasing sharp thinking, teamwork, and just the right amount of educated guesswork 😉

👏 A big thank you as well to all teams who participated, the organisers who made this event such a success, and to all the supporters who came down to cheer the teams on!

We look forward to future runs of the ENT SuperBowl, and more opportunties for collaboration and engagement in the ENT fraternity! 💪🏻

READY TO RUMBLE!? 💥🪃

On 25 October 2025, Singhealth ENT brought it's A game to the annual SOHNSS Sports Day & Family Carnival filled with fun, laughter and lots of food!!! 🕺🌭🍨

Our teams faced off against the other clusters of NHG and NUHS in back to back intense matches of Captains Ball and Soccer. The day ended off with a Singhealth Senior Staff vs Junior Staff faceoff so intense that the match could only be settled with a penalty shootout. ⚽🏟️🥅🏀

We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did! 🥳🙌🥰

Following our rhinology themed nosedivin presentation during AAOHNS, SGH ENT continues it's rhinology themed month with a journal club on Olfactory Deficits! 🐽👃

Resident Dr Wee Jia Jia brought us through the mechanics of anosmia and hyposmia and the team had the opportunity to try out the world renowned Sniffin' Sticks and University of Pennsylvania Smell Identification Test (UPSIT) booklets!! 🍡🍢🥩🥥🌭🌮

It was a fun filled and learning rich session that really helped everyone make SCENTS of Olfactory Disorders 🤭

What does the path of a clinician scientist look like? 👀🔬

A/Prof Lim Chwee Ming, Head of Department and Senior Consultant of SGH ENT-Head and Neck Surgery, shared about his personal journey at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Scientific Congress 2025 🎓🧬, held on 19 Sept 2025.

From his years of surgical training as a Head and Neck Surgeon 🔪👤, to developing a keen interest in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma research and beyond 🦠👃 A/Prof Lim presented to the audience comprising mainly of medical students and junior doctors 🥼👨‍⚕️ about what it means to explore and develop a unique niche in research, and how that progresses hand in hand in a personal clLim Chwee Minge 🙌

Ending off the Singhealth ENT Fortnight with w BANG! 🔫

On the 5th of September 2025, we were honored to invite Prof Lisa Orloff from Stanford University to jointly conduct the Ultrasound Thyroid and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) course. Participants had the chance to delve into the growing field of RFA and learn the tips and tricks and ins and outs of thyroid nodule ablation from our local and international faculty. 🤩💫🙌

The course included hands on practice on how to do perform a flawless Ultrasound, the practical tips on Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and the buzz on Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA). 🔫📻🧬💉

We are glad enjoyed their time at the course and this concludes this year's Singhealth ENT Fortnight 2025! We hope to see everyone again next year!! 😁🥳💪🦾

From the 3rd to 4th of September 2025, Singhealth along with it's co-host the Korean Society of Sleep and Breathing conducted it's very own Neuromodulation for Obstructive Sleep Apnea course!! 🌚💤

Gathering the biggest names in Sleep Surgery, this course was jam-packed with case discussions, the newest research data and practical tips on avoiding pitfalls of Upper Airway Stimulation surgery for sleep apnea. 🛏️🛌😴😴

We were honored to have with us Professor Clemens Heiser from the Technical University of Munich cohost this wonderful course with us. 🥳🙌

We hope this INSPIRE-ing series had helped everyone elevate their sleep surgery toolkit to the next level!! 🌃🕥🌌

On the first to third of September 2025, Singhealth ENT Facial Plastics team conducted their renowned Septorhinoplasty 👃 Instructional Course. For the first time ever, the course was expanded to THREE immersive days of unparalleled hands on experience! 💫

Under the auspices of the Pan Asia Academy Of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, participants were able to delve into the makings of an aesthetic and functional nose through various techniques of Septoplasty, Dorsal Augmentation, Autologous Rib/Conchal Cartilage Harvest and Tip Refinement Techniques! 🥩👂

This year's new and innovative twist allowed participants to use soft and hard clay models to sculpt their ideal noses 🚅 giving a more kinaesthetic and precise appreciation for rhinoplasties.

We were honored to have Prof Yong Ju Jang and Dr Jared Christophel alongside our local faculty and course directors to inspire us all in this exciting and ever changing field of facial plastics. 👴>👦
