This is it—the culmination of our creative journey, the final four sessions of the Adult Art Club! We’re embarking on a temporary hiatus after this series, a much-needed creative break to gather fresh inspiration and forge exciting new ideas for an even bigger and better year ahead.

Don’t miss this last opportunity to unleash your inner artist and make some incredible art with us before we go into our period of regeneration! Join us for the last four sessions as we paint, sculpt, and create together one last time.

Explore the joy of illustrating cats while learning the dry brush technique! You could bring your own cat photo(s) or choose from the references we’ve put together.

We’ll start with simple, guided exercises to help you loosen up by playing with brush strokes, pressure, and basic cat shapes. From there, we’ll add fur textures, gestures, and lively lines, guiding you toward your very own complete cat illustrations.

Working in black ink first keeps things simple and fun: it lets you focus on line, form, and movement while the natural flow of ink brings your drawings to life. Once you feel confident, you can make it your own—whether bold and graphic, soft and subtle, or even enhanced with watercolour washes for extra depth and colour.

This workshop is open to everyone, from beginners curious about ink to seasoned artists looking to experiment and loosen up. By the end, you’ll leave with a collection of playful cat sketches and at least one finished piece to proudly take home.

Last month, brought fish to life in watercolour and now we’re buzzing with excitement for our next theme: insects! 🐞🦋🌿

From the shimmer of wings to the curious tilt of antennae, each insect seems to take on a life of its own. Painting them felt like capturing tiny moments of wonder. ✨

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll learn key techniques for capturing intricate details — like the transparency of wings and the subtle shifts in colour.

Choose from a variety of samples provided during the session, or bring your preferred reference images.

As always, Rachel will guide us through watercolour techniques and materials (brushes, paper, paints). Perfect for building confidence and creative flow.
