After many conversations with experts and people in her community, Montse noticed a common pattern: many people are doing “all the right things” for their health, yet still feel tired, overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves.

This retreat was created to offer a different approach.

I’m really happy to finally share this 🩵

After months of building quietly, I’m excited to introduce a new offering at The Wellness Hood, created in collaboration with Hotel, just as they prepare to open their Wellness Centre.

From 29 April to 3 May, we’ll be in Gili Air, Indonesia, bringing to life something I’ve wanted to create for a long time.

My mission has always been to help people reach their best version.
This time, that mission takes the form of an experience designed to Restore · Reset · Recharge.

A healthy life isn’t about adding more or chasing quick fixes.
It’s about understanding what your body actually needs, creating the right conditions for it to settle, and finding a balance you can sustain.

That’s why this retreat is designed around nervous system calibration, the strength of community, and a personalised 360 approach to wellbeing. Bringing together movement and rest, nourishment and recovery, learning, connection and yes, fun too.

It’s intentionally small, carefully curated, and designed to help you leave clearer, more resourced, and with practical tools you can carry into real life.

What if one tiny shift in language could change the way you feel about your entire life?

In episode 88, I speak with — magician, speaker, resilience & empowerment coach, and author of *Playing the Hand You’re Dealt* (with a foreword by Jamie Lee Curtis).

And he shared a mindset reframe backed by psychology, neuroscience, and behavioural science:

👉 Replace “I *have* to” with “I *get* to.”

It sounds simple… but here’s why it works:

🔸 “Have to” activates pressure.
Your brain interprets it as obligation, threat, or burden. The task feels heavier, resistance goes up, and motivation drops.

🔸 “Get to” activates privilege and agency.
It shifts the brain toward gratitude, autonomy, and intrinsic motivation — all scientifically linked to improved wellbeing and performance.

🔸 Over time, this small shift rewires your cognitive framing, reducing stress and increasing your sense of capability and control.

As John puts it:

> “If you think ‘have to,’ it’s a chore.
> If you think ‘get to,’ it’s a privilege.”

It’s a micro habit with macro impact — and it’s entirely in your hands.
