*eGurukul (English) Lesson #46/2025, dated Sunday, 16th Nov @ 3-5 pm*
Today’s eGurukul lesson was attended by 5 kids & 4 parents.
We began the first segment with Charya Pada – living a conscious lifestyle, where children first offered Sri Guru Puja to our beloved Guru, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam in gratitude and devotion for happening in their lives and manifesting through us.
In the second segment after Guru puja, Ma Parameshwari led them into Nithyananda Yoga practice of Dvithiya Vinyasa Krama (DVK) which began with the ritualistic cleansing - tattvacharamaniyam followed by Sankalpa chanting. Ma Parameshwari prepared their bodies using a warm-up in the Skeleton dance and practised the following yogasanas from Dvithiya Vinyasa Krama: Svottanasana, Viparita Karani 1 & 2, Langalasana, Sayita Pascimatanasana, Supta Konasana, Cakrasana, Suptaprasarita padangustasana, Supta padagustanasana, Matsyasana, Parasaramasana, Sarvangasana, Vrscikasana, Vrsapadaksepasana, Marottanasana, Vrkasana and finally easing in Padmasana for silent meditation.
Next, we continued with Lesson #3 of Living of Enlightenment with topic of Comparison. This lesson introduced the children the powerful cognition – Cosmos nurtures your uniquesness. Avoid wanting to become like someone else, be yourself. Nature has its own unique way of growth for each of us. It does not matter whether you are a rose or a Lilly or a wild flower. The important thing is that the wild flower should realize its ultimate potential as a wild flower just as the rose should understand its inherent potential. The fragrance of you realizing your unique potential is what radiates and without effort, touches everyone around you. Whether it is beauty or intelligence, you are unique. We always want to be someone else, we compare with others and want to become like them. Explain what some of the aspects are, which we compare with others. When we see what somebody else has and start to compare, we borrow the desire of wanting things like them. This is called borrowed desires, which is born out of comparison. This borrowed desire is an example of a want, not a need. When you start spending your energy to realize borrowed desires, you feel that you don't have enough energy to fulfil all your desires. You have enough energy to fulfil all of your needs but not your wants. The moment one want is fulfilled; many more come up as you borrow more desires from others. Each individual is unique, although human beings appear to be the same; each one is unique and travelling in a different path. As long as you travel on your path with full concentration, you will experience fulfilment every minute. In the art activity of the day, the children were asked to draw themselves as a unique flower which they represent.
In the final segment, we resumed the power of Body Scanning Level 8 – healing others’ problems. At first, we reviewed the 3 pramanas of this power, then the children and parents scanned ma Nhdalala and healing solutions for her. Finally, it was time to conclude the lesson, we closed by chanting the poorna mantra.
