The new year often brings pressure to cut back, do more, and be perfect. But true metabolic health is built through balance, not extremes.⚖️

Resetting your habits means supporting your hormones and blood sugar with consistency, not restriction. Move your body in ways you enjoy. Prioritise sleep, manage stress, and allow your body time to adapt.💤💫

This year, focus on progress that supports your hormones, metabolism, and blood sugar, create goals you can maintain, not rules!

At the World Diabetes Day Gala Dinner 2025, we were honoured to receive a Certificate of Appreciation, presented by Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Minister of State for Health and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, alongside Diabetes Singapore. 💙

As part of this meaningful event, Aspen Diabetes & Endocrine Clinic contributed a donation to support initiatives that expand community screenings and education, provide subsidised diabetes care, strengthen peer and mental wellness support, and advance early diagnosis and prevention.

Diabetes continues to affect many lives in Singapore, and events like this highlight the power of collective action in supporting those living with the condition. With this year’s World Health Organization theme “Diabetes Across Life Stages” and “Diabetes in the Workplace”, we are reminded of the importance of inclusive, lifelong support for those living with diabetes.

At Aspen Diabetes & Endocrine Clinic, we remain committed to patient-centred care and empowering individuals to take charge of their health. 💓

Diabetes can affect people at every stage of life - from childhood to older adulthood, each stage bringing unique challenges and care needs. 💙

👧 Children and Teens – Type 1 diabetes often begins early in life and requires ongoing insulin and emotional support. Type 2 diabetes is also rising among youth due to sedentary habits and poor diets.

👩‍💼 Adults – For working adults, diabetes can affect energy, focus, and long-term health. Consistent monitoring, balanced nutrition, and healthy routines help prevent complications. For women planning a family, good glucose control is key to a healthy pregnancy.

👵 Older Adults – With age, managing diabetes may become more complex. Regular check-ups, simplified routines, and ongoing support help maintain independence and quality of life.

At every stage, the goal remains the same - to help you live well with diabetes through knowledge, care, and support.

At Aspen Diabetes & Endocrine Clinic, Dr Ester Yeoh, Senior Consultant Endocrinologist, provides personalised care to guide you through every step of your journey.

Managing diabetes every day can be overwhelming. People with diabetes experience emotional strain, known as diabetes distress - feelings of frustration, fear, or burnout from living with the condition.🥱

This emotional weight can affect overall well-being, especially in the workplace where stress levels are already high.

If this sounds familiar, reach out for help. With the right care and guidance, you can find balance again and feel more in control of your health.

For many, managing diabetes is a daily balancing act from checking blood sugar to planning meals and staying active. 🩸⚖️
Beyond the physical challenges, there’s also the emotional side.

Three in four people with diabetes experience diabetes distress, a mix of frustration, worry, and burnout that can take a real toll on mental health.😔

Diabetes distress is common, but it doesn’t have to take over your life, recognising these feelings and seeking support early can make a big difference!
