✨ Reminder: Thoughts ≠ actions.

Intrusive thoughts happen to many of us, and sometimes they can be really distressing. Some do get thoughts of harming others, and that’s okay. They do not make you a bad person. These thoughts do not define you, and you don’t have to struggle with these thoughts alone.🌿

Many of us have experienced wanting to do our best. But sometimes, wanting to do well can turn into perfectionism. These deeper beliefs or tendencies often stem from experiences in our upbringing.

For some parents, it’s fear — fear their child won’t have a stable future. For some children, it’s the belief that anything less than perfect means failure. Both come from care and wanting the best… but both can hurt if left unspoken.

🌱 But a different path is possible — life doesn’t always have to look this way.

💛 Parents: your love matters more than results. Celebrate effort, ask what support your child needs, and remind them they’re enough no matter what.

💛 Children: your thoughts aren’t always facts. Feeling like a failure doesn’t mean you are one. You can choose not to listen to the unhelpful voices and recognise your own efforts.

And for both — you don’t have to figure this out alone. Professional support can help individuals and families rewrite these patterns together.

✨ Perfection isn’t the goal. A healthier, kinder path is.
