🎓 SPA Education: Musculoskeletal Skills Exchange Program Workshop 4 – Sports Taping

The Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA) is excited to present the fourth installment of our Musculoskeletal Skills Exchange Program!

This workshop focuses on Sports Taping 🏐⚽🏀—a practical and widely used technique to support injury management, enhance performance, and aid recovery in athletes and active individuals.

✨ Whether you’re new to sports taping or looking for a practical refresher, this hands-on masterclass is designed to equip physiotherapists with essential taping techniques for injury prevention, support, and performance enhancement.

👩‍🏫 Speaker: Ms Karen Koh Mui Ling, Physiotherapist & Associate Lecturer, Republic Polytechnic

Drawing from her background in both sports and eldercare settings, Karen will guide participants through a dynamic blend of theory and practice, with skills you can apply immediately in clinical or sporting environments.

✨ Over the weekend of 16-17 August 2025, the Public Health Service (PHS) 2025 took place at Frontier Community Centre - a collaborative effort led by the NUS Medical Society, where different professions came together with one purpose: to serve the . 🩺🤝

This year, the Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA), Singapore Physiotherapy Association Student Council (SPASC), and Singapore Institute of Technology Physiotherapy students joined hands to extend care and support to the public. Generations of have dedicated their time and effort at PHS - not only reaching out to the community, but also investing in the growth of the next generation of physiotherapists. 🌱💪

From engaging with the elderly 👵👴, assessing physical function through the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) test 🏃‍♀️, to providing guidance at the consultation booths - it was heartening to see students, mentors, and professionals working side by side to impact lives and shape the future of our profession. 🌍❤️

🎉 Public Health Screening (PHS) 2025 – Volunteer Training Kick-off! 🩺👣

For the past two decades, PHS has championed ground-up preventive health screening efforts across Singapore — continually evolving to meet the changing needs of our communities.

As PHS mark its 20th anniversary this year, we are excited to support the 20th edition of the annual health screening initiative! 🇸🇬✨

Led by students and organized by the NUS Medical Society (NUS Med Soc), PHS 2025 is proudly supported by the Singapore Physiotherapy Association (SPA) and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association Student Council (SPASC).
