Kids often mask their struggles resulting with some kids not showing cracks in their learning until Year 4 or 5. This is often due to their spiky profile which makes both parents and teachers think "it must be something else and not dyslexia". If your child is struggling, come speak to our psychologists to help review their developmental and learning history and then advise the next steps. Or if your child has already been diagnosed, our educational therapists can provide the therapeutic support they need. Contact us to find out more about how we can help.
Each dyslexic has a different pattern of strengths and challenges. We score extremely highly in some things - often in the top percentiles. But in the areas we find challenging, we score very low - often in the bottom percentiles. We call this our 'spiky profile'.
That's why it's vital, in the workplace, that we focus on our strengths - the things that we're naturally good at - and delegate our challenges.
