Struggling with that burning sensation in your throat after meals?

Instead of reaching straight for medication, why not try a natural approach rooted in traditional wisdom? Here are 4 simple acupoints that help ease acid reflux symptoms, support digestion and bring your body back into balance.

1. Nei Guan (内关穴): Relieves Heartburn & Chest Tightness
Location: Inner wrist, ~3 finger-widths from the wrist crease, between two tendons.

2. Zu San Li (足三里穴): Supports Digestion
Location: ~4 finger-widths below the outer knee, near the shinbone.

3. Zhong Wan (中脘穴): Eases Nausea & Bloating
Location: Midline of the abdomen, ~4 finger-widths above the navel.

4. Tai Chong (太冲穴): Reduces Stress-Related Reflux
Location: Top of foot, ~2 finger-widths above the point where the first and second toe bones meet.

Massage the area indicated by the dot. When done correctly, the area should feel a little sore.

Feeling a little too stuffed after all the pineapple tarts, bak kwa, steamboat and reunion feasts?

If you are dealing with bloating and indigestion after indulging during the Chinese New Year, here are 4 acupoints you can gently massage at home to ease the discomfort.

Massage the area indicated by the dot. When done correctly, the area should feel a little sore.

Nei Guan (内关穴):
With your hand stretched out palm-up, located about three finger widths below the wrist crease, between the two tendons in the center of the forearm.

Zu San Li (足三里穴):
Located on the front of the lower leg, one finger width lateral to the shinbone, four finger widths below the bottom of the kneecap.

Xian Gu (陷谷穴):
On the top of the foot, between the second and third toes. Move upward toward the ankle to find a depression.

Tai Bai (太白穴):
On the inner side of the foot, in the depression just behind and slightly below the base of your big toe.
