πŸ™Œ That’s a wrap for Pop Toy Show 2025!

Over the three days, we had an amazing time meeting toy lovers, Peanutsβ„’ fans, and supporters who dropped by our booths. From SRC x Peanutsβ„’ merch and YouthInspire blind boxes, to Operation Lionheart figurines and the Wings of Art Winged-Barbie workshop β€” there was truly something special for everyone.

A huge shoutout to our ambassadors , , and .mitu for joining us and bringing so much warmth and energy to the event ✨

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to for their generous donation to our Young Hearts kids. This gift will go a long way in bringing joy and hope to the little ones.

Thank you for making Pop Toy Show 2025 one to remember β€” see you at the next event! πŸ‘‹

Barely making ends meet on the income of one, Mdm Dayana and Mr Ridhwan were gutted when a scam wiped out whatever savings they had left. Thankfully, the couple and their three kids were connected to the Singapore Red Cross’ Meals with Love programme. Read on for their full story.

The Singapore Red Cross Society is part of a world-wide, non-political, non-religious, humanitarian organisation.

In a recent The Straits Times forum response, the Dean and Group Director for Singapore Red Cross Academy Sahari Ani, shared:

β€œAt the Singapore Red Cross Academy, we believe in equipping people not only with life-saving physical skills such as CPR and AED, but also with psychological and social support skills to respond holistically in times of need.

A resilient Singapore begins with each of us. By learning physical and psychological first aid, we widen the safety net – rallying the community as first responders to build a safer, more caring, and compassionate society.”

We encourage everyone, especially HR professionals and educators to equip themselves with the skills to recognise distress, listen with empathy, and offer psychological support when it matters most.

Our Psychological First Aid+ course is -eligible and open to all who want to make a difference.

✨ From managing events to sharpening global perspectives, Sherilyn and Isaac have been wonderful interns in the Global Engagement team. They powered through the 10th Singapore Humanitarian Conference, from speaker notes and emcee scripts to invite lists and collaterals, as well as the World Blood Donor Day booth, the Polish First Lady’s visit, and the Centre of Excellence for Pandemic Preparedness (COEPP) Dialogue. Along the way, they honed their presentation skills, strengthened cross-department collaboration, and left with a deeper global perspective and the clear understanding that β€œnothing functions in silo.”

Sherilyn learnt how charity organisations operate, including how to work around limited resources. For Isaac, he built up his public health communications and coding skills, all setting him up for a future in research, bioinformatics, and community engagement.

πŸ™Œ Together, they’ve experienced an internship that was not just productive, but also memorable.

🦟 Mosquitoes may be tiny, but their impact is massive - spreading diseases like dengue, malaria, chikungunya, Zika, and more. Today is a global reminder that prevention starts with awareness, protection, and preparedness. Let’s act now to safeguard the most vulnerable and build community resilience against mosquito-borne diseases.

At the Centre of Excellence for Pandemic Preparedness (CoEPP), we recognise that tackling mosquito-borne diseases requires more than reactive response - it demands long-term investment in preparedness, community education, and coordinated regional action.

🀝 Through our partnerships across Southeast Asia’s Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, we are committed to strengthening local capacity, promoting grassroots prevention, and supporting evidence-based strategies that reduce the burden of vector-borne diseases.

Preparedness is our purpose. Protection starts before the outbreak.
