Not because they are the strongest.
Not because they are the fittest.

But because they keep showing up.

They show up after long days at work.
They show up even when their bodies feel stiff.
They show up even when life gets busy.

Some of them started out feeling nervous just stepping into a gym.

Today, they are lifting weights, moving better, and becoming healthier.

Progress does not come from perfect people or a perfect plan.

It comes from ordinary people who keep showing up.

Happy or sad.
Energized or tired.
Calm or under pressure.

This space stays the same.

An interesting perspective this Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year is always loud.

Laughter.
Red packets.
Endless food.
Family photos.

But this year, something else caught my attention.

Among the beautifully dressed seniors visiting from house to house, many in their early 70s, quite a number were holding walking sticks or being gently pushed in wheelchairs by their loved ones.

It made me think:
Aging is a privilege.
Aging strong is a choice.

The question is not whether we will grow older.
The question is whether we will still be able to walk into the house on our own.

This year, more than prosperity, I wish you strength.
More than success, I wish you independence.

Happy New Year. May you build a body that carries you through many more reunions.

Brown rice or white rice?

Most people think one is healthy and the other is not.

The truth is simpler.

Brown rice has more fibre.
White rice is easier to digest.

But health is rarely decided by a single food.

Your blood sugar response depends more on how much you eat, what you eat it with, and how active you are during the day.

A balanced meal with protein, vegetables, and regular movement will do more for your health than switching rice alone.

The goal is not to fear food.

The goal is to build a lifestyle your body can handle for years.

Sometimes the healthier choice is simply the one you can sustain.
