Osteoporosis is a condition in which bones weaken and become brittle as you age. Your body constantly absorbs and replaces bone tissue, but in osteoporosis, new bone creation lags behind the removal of old bone. Over time, this imbalance leads to hollow and fragile bones. Many people don't experience symptoms until they suffer a bone fracture.

Weight-bearing exercises and a nutritious diet are essential for preventing bone loss and strengthening weakened bones. Our clinic has extensive experience working with osteoporosis patients, using safe and effective low-force techniques. We're here to help you develop an exercise program tailored to maintaining strong, healthy bones. Call us today to schedule an appointment!

Spondylolisthesis is a spinal disorder in which a vertebra slips forward onto the bone below it. Risk factors for spondylolisthesis include high-impact sports, such as gymnastics and football. Genetics may also increase some people’s risk. This condition can lead to spine instability, meaning the vertebrae move more than they should. The slippage and instability can put pressure on the spinal nerves, potentially causing lower back pain or leg pain.

The term spondylolisthesis (pronounced spohn-di-low-less-THEE-sis) comes from the Greek words spondylos (meaning "spine" or "vertebra") and listhesis (meaning "slipping, sliding, or movement"). In many cases, spondylolisthesis can be effectively treated conservatively with chiropractic care. Call us today to learn how and schedule an appointment! 🤳
