Fairies live on forever. I wonder what would I do then, if I have unlimited time at my dispense. If the challenges I face now can be solved with a wave of my hand. When surviving in comfort is guaranteed. Would I be mindful? Or would I be carefree? Would I still remember others who ain't as fortunate?
Living in a highly urbanized place such as Singapore is almost like a mortal fairy live. Sometimes I take the privileges for granted, and forget not everyone can have clean water, non disruptive electricity supply and very decent medical care readily available. Feel grateful for what I have now.

Time travel back to Shanghai in the 1920s. Qipao 旗袍 or more widely known as cheongsam, was popularised among young Chinese upper class in the early 1920s. It is, in fact with adaptations from western fashion at that time. First welcomed by female students (formal academic education for female was a luxury not many could afford), later spread to other working class. This dress on me is however a very modernised edition with digital prints and zips at the back. Save me the trouble of buttoning. Phew....Makeup and styling by me Ping Wei Apple Xie

Shanghai dans les années 1920. Qipao ou plus connu sous le nom de Cheongsam, a été popularisé par les filles chinoises riches au début des années 1920. C'est une combinaison de vêtements de Han, Manchu et de la mode chic. Les étudiantes les portaient (l'éducation universitaire formelle pour les femmes était un luxe auquel personne ne pouvait se permettre), d'autres femmes s'ont adapté à cette mode. Qipao est conçu pour montrer, mais pas pour exploiter. Cette robe sur moi est une édition très modernisée sans boutons. Une fermeture me sauve la peine de boutonner. Phew .... Maquillage et style par moi.
