Our Funeral Directors and staff will ensure that they listen to and understand the need of its families, and we aim to serve with dignity, sympathy and compassion during these troubled times and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for guidance. We listen to the family and put their wishes into practice and guide them. We endeavor to give the individual attention to our clients that can only be given by a family run firm where you are being cared for our Funeral Directors and team. We can offer a funeral service that is very traditional but we can also use our knowledge to offer some modern concepts within the funeral service. As we enter the twenty first century some of the valued levels of service and tradition change, we, as a company, wish to maintain our service at a cost that is acceptable and reasonable, yet we don’t compromise the service value to our clients. "I’ll never forget the first time I wore this uniform", a Family Care Assistant said.

I looked at myself in the mirror and barely recognised the person staring back. I was new. Nervous. Unsure if I will be able to handle the weight of this role. It was not just the blazer or the tie, it was the responsibility that came with it.

I was not just representing Serenity Casket & Funerals. I was stepping into a role that meant something bigger. I was being trusted to guide families through one of the most difficult days of their lives. That changes how you walk, how you speak and how you listen.

Wearing this uniform means showing up with care. With respect. And every time I put it on, I remind myself why I do this 🫶

Chee Kung once found purpose in the heat of a busy kitchen, crafting meals for his guests and customers. Today, he brings that same care to a different kind of service.

Becoming a Family Care Assistant was not part of CK’s original path. But when the opportunity came, he recognised the meaning in this work and chose to step forward. He understands that there are no second takes, every funeral happens just once in a lifetime. That shapes his approach to every farewell and sharpens his attention to the little things families remember.

Spencer once risked his life as a tower crane erector, helping to build Singapore's future. Today, he serves in the death care industry, guiding families through some of their most difficult moments. What draws him to this work is the service: listening, understanding each family’s needs, and helping them find what feels right.

As Spencer shared: "If I were to plan my own funeral, I would want it to be a celebration of life, with a memory board where people from different stages of my life can leave a message or memory of us."

Being a family care director with over five years of experience, Yi Huey knows more than most what a delicate time it is for the family; preferring to move in the shadow and behind her scene with her personal touch. She never fails to have the tissue at ready and make sure to go rounds to ensure that the family has what they need to grief.

In addition to that, Yi Huey is also an embalmer of three years. Whenever possible, she personally handles the embalming of the decedent entrusted to her case. For her, the extra effort is meaningful, knowing that this will be the last image that the family holds of their loved one.

We don't conduct burials every day.
But when we do, every step matters.

The beginning and the end are familiar to most, the prayers, the final bow. But what happens in between often goes unseen. The casket is carried to the plot. Ropes are tied by hand. The team moves in quiet coordination, lowering it gently into place. It’s physical work, yes, but also a ceremony of care and respect.

In Singapore, burials follow the Crypt Burial System, where rows of concrete crypts ensure stability and prevent erosion. For families, it means a secure and dignified resting place. For us, it is an act of trust we are honoured to uphold with care and grace, every single time.

There is a stillness in this moment, when the casket is lifted and the hearse door opens. Where the wake has ended, and the journey to the crematorium now begins. Families often stand a few steps away, watching as their loved one is gently guided into the hearse. It is a brief pause, but one that lingers. And then, the hearse pulls away, carrying not just the departed, but all the love, memory, and longing that remains. A love that goes the distance.
