As we gear up to the 7th lunar month and Ullambana, we should constantly remind ourselves to be mindful and considerate of our environment and neighbours as we pay respects and make offerings to our deceased loved ones.

✅ Burn joss paper in small quantities to ensure complete combustion and reduce smoke and ash.
✅ Traditionally, joss paper should be burnt during worshipping. Please do not toss or scatter joss paper.
✅ After prayer, please collect your offerings and prayer items. Ensure that our public spaces are left clean and sanitary.

农历七月盂兰盆节，在追思祭祖的同时，也提醒自己为生态环境与邻里尽一分力。

✅ 焚烧冥纸时，请少量多次的将冥纸放进焚化炉里，以确保冥纸燃尽，从而减少烟雾和灰烬。
✅ 请在祭拜后将冥纸燃尽，勿把冥纸随意丢在户外。

The Ullambana Festival takes place on 12 August 2022 (15th day of the 7th lunar month) this year. On this day, Buddhists make offerings to their deceased loved ones as a practice of filial piety. The Dedication of Merits to the Departed Ritual will also be held to liberate beings of the three lower realms from suffering and allow them to undergo a good rebirth.

2022年8月12日（农历七月十五）是盂兰盆节。这一天，佛教徒会以供品祭拜祖，以报长养慈爱之恩。寺院也将举办超度法会，让信众为已故亲人尽一份孝心，同时普渡三恶道的众生，愿他们离苦得乐。

清明节是华人最重视的传统节日之一，这期间我们以祭祖的形式缅怀至亲，在习俗里有着尽孝道与慎终追远的含义。本寺从即日起至2022年4月17日将开放让公众以预约的方式前往寺院祭祖。

我们在此提醒公众：

- 须完成疫苗接种，并至线上访客系统（https://bit.ly/bookingkms） 预约到访时段。请在佛学院入口处出示有效的预约编号，并进行安全登入才能进入寺院。

- 若您开车前往寺院，请从新明大道驶入光明山路。由于停车位有限，驾驶者可将车辆停泊在其他停车场：

1. 沿着Sin Ming Drive的Sin Ming Autocity
2. Sin Ming Drive 陆路交通管理局大楼旁的露天停车场
3. Sin Ming Lane 和 Sin Ming Drive 交界处的露天停车场
4. 410A组屋的多层停车场

- 公众祭祖地点将设置在多层停车场旁的巴士停放处遮篷内及净土堂与功德堂外的桌子

The Dedication of Merits to the Departed ritual on 5 April will be closed to public. For those who wish to participate in the prayer, the monastery will be screening the prayer ‘live’ on our Facebook and YouTube page. All prayer offerings will be donated to charity homes after the puja.
