From proposal writing to partnership outreach, our incredible intern Phone Myint Myat made a real impact during his internship with The Red Pencil (Singapore)! ๐ŸŒŸ As a Corporate Partnerships Intern, Phone helped drive funding initiatives for our mission, all while discovering the transformative power of art therapy for the first time.

We're so inspired by Phone's key takeaway: "I learned how art therapy offers a powerful, non-verbal way for individuals to transform and express emotions." ๐ŸŽจโœจ

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff and counsellors from Samaritans of Singapore Limited for joining us at our centre on 12 November 2025. โค๏ธ

We were delighted to conduct an experiential art therapy workshop, guiding participants through the principles of art therapy, exploring how to select art materials that are safe and supportive for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, and highlighting the importance of self-care.

It was an inspiring session, and we hope it was an enriching and insightful experience for all. Thank you, SOS, for your invaluable work and for supporting our mission at The Red Pencil (Singapore).

A huge thank you to The Schoolhouse by Busy Bees (Kovan)!

By creating and selling handmade clay pieces as part of a school fundraiser, their children raised a total of $965 to be donated towards supporting art therapy programmes that bring hope and emotional support to those who need it most.

The Red Pencil (Singapore) is absolutely honoured to receive this gift, and through their efforts, these young artists remind us that no one is too young to make a difference.

Hereโ€™s to creativity and generosity coming together to make a meaningful difference.

In the gentle bustle of The Red Pencil (Singapore)โ€™s "Our Golden Years" Seniors Outreach at Junction 8, we witnessed a moment of pure, unscripted connection that stayed with us long after the event ended.

We met Auntie L, sprightly in her early eighties, who had retired just last year after a decade of dedicated work in general cleaning. At an art therapy station designed to evoke the warmth and comfort of coffee shop gatherings, she was invited to relax and express herself freely.

While others painted abstract shapes, her hand moved with quiet purpose. She began to draw the logo of her former company โ€” a symbol etched deep in her memory. It was a devotion so intrinsic that it was mirrored in the tote bag from the same company, which she carried faithfully by her side. ๐ŸŽจ

When we asked about her time there, her face softened. She had nothing but fondness and kind words for her former employers and colleagues. "I had a good ten-year run," she shared. "The colleagues are all good." But the most touching detail? Even in her retirement, her former boss still picks up the phone just to check in on her, to ask how she is doing. In a world that often moves on too fast, that simple, consistent care is everything.

Auntie Lโ€™s story is a powerful lesson in gratitude, especially for younger generations navigating a challenging job climate. We know that finding a role that provides both purpose and peace can feel like a monumental task. But her legacy is this: ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ฃ๐จ๐›, ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž ๐ข๐ญ. Treasure not just the paycheck, but the human connections. Treasure the boss who sees you as a person and the colleague who offers a kind word. Find gratitude in the little things, for it is these small, daily acts of respect and kindness that, woven together, create a life well-lived. โค๏ธ

At The Red Pencil (Singapore), we are committed to creating these safe spaces for expression and connection for every generation. To continue our outreach and touch more lives like Auntie Lโ€™s, we need your support.

A beautiful Saturday evening spent with at The W.I.S.E Movement SG's "Be A S.I.S." event! โœจ So inspired by this empowering sustainability initiative led by the lovely Mrs Singapore Earth 2025, Nur Eser.

We were thrilled to share more about the work of The Red Pencil (Singapore) with attendees. Huge thank you to everyone who visited our booth and those who supported us by buying our official merchandise โ€” we also hope the kids had a blast with our colouring & doodling activities! ๐ŸŽจ

Grateful to have collaborated with an energetic youth volunteer from Pertapis Welfare Homes. Together, we can make a difference. โค๏ธ

What an inspiring few days at ! We were thrilled to be part of two amazing, youth-centric events in the week of 28 to 31 October 2025.

We watched as students made every step count at the TP Walk for Health, transforming kilometres into kindness for the community. Our art pieces were displayed along the route, and thanks to your incredible support, our silent auction raised more than $560! ๐ŸŽจโค๏ธ

We also had a wonderful time at the World Mental Health Roadshow, sharing conversations and smiles with all the lovely students. Thank you for having us!

Our hearts are so full! ๐Ÿ’– A huge thank you to for inviting us to be part of the wonderful event for World Mental Health Day.

We loved meeting all the bright students at our booth and had fun chatting with them! It was so inspiring to see them engage with our art therapy activity, "Make Space for...", and create their own unique self-care prompt cards. Watching them draw, write, and reflect on what they wish to invite into their lives was truly special.

It was a fantastic event from start to finish, and we hope to meet all the amazing students again soon!
