An analysis from the UK about traffic lights and seniors - interesting data especially keeping in mind, seniors sometimes jaywalk - https://theconversation.com/cities-arent-built-for-older-people-our-study-shows-many-cant-walk-fast-enough-to-beat-a-pedestrian-crossing-271874

Here in Singapore, the Land Transport Authority uses the "Green Man+" system, allowing seniors and persons with disabilities to tap their concession cards at traffic light readers to get three to 13 extra seconds of green light time.

Many older people with reduced mobility say they feel ‘hurried’, ‘rushed’ and ‘unsafe" when walking around their city.
