This past weekend, Dr Ruben Manohara was invited to teach at the Zimmer Biomet Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty System: Mastering Techniques Workshop held at Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok.

It was a meaningful opportunity to reconnect with esteemed colleagues like Prof Bancha and Dr Nattha, while also making many new friends in the orthopaedic community. The workshop featured engaging discussions on the indications, techniques, design, and latest updates in reverse shoulder arthroplasty, alongside a smoothly run cadaveric training session where both faculty and participants exchanged valuable surgical tips.

Dr Ruben extends his best wishes to the delegates as they continue their journeys as shoulder surgeons, and expresses his gratitude for the warm hospitality in Bangkok.

Dr Ruben Manohara is grateful for the opportunity to teach at the Siriraj Orthopaedic Learning Center in Bangkok this Saturday, 16 August 2025. He’ll be sharing his experience in Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty (RSA) through a programme combining expert-led lectures and hands-on training.

It’s a privilege to contribute to the professional development of fellow surgeons and to exchange insights that can help advance shoulder arthroplasty techniques for better patient outcomes. Over 25–26 July, our spine surgeon, Dr Terry Teo, was honoured to be invited to Siriraj Orthopaedic Centre in Bangkok, where he shared his experience in lateral access spine surgery with fellow surgeons from Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Through a lecture and hands-on sessions, Dr Terry contributed to the regional exchange of knowledge and technique in advancing spine care. They shared perspectives on common spinal conditions and talked through motion-preserving options such as disc replacements and endoscopic procedures—treatments that can benefit selected patients.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share his experience using a high-definition 3D exoscope in lateral spine surgery — a tool that helps improve visibility during surgery and also supports education for the next generation of surgeons.
